I have a glass top stove and it is to be cleaned with a special cleaner much like a lotion.

So I wonder if this can be used on windshields also?
Has anyone tried doing this with their DA?

What were the results?

Thank you

Good questions/ideas! :xyxthumbs:

The cleaner I use on our range's smooth-top glass contains:
-Silica
-Anionic surfactants
-Nonionic surfactants

But with it having no cerium oxide, or other abrasives specific to glass polishing...
It would probably be more useful as...a rather expensive auto-glass "cleaner".

JMO.

You may have a point. My bottle contains silica, alcohol and detergents. No mention of abrasives.
It does dry to a haze.

Silica is used as an abrasive in many polishes.
Probably not as good of a "glass-polish" as the ones I mentioned earlier.

I think that mildly abrasive products like Bon Ami (calcium carbonate; sodium carbonate; feldspar)...
And Meguiar's #4 Heavy Cut (Dialuminum trioxide):
Make for less expensive "glass-cleaners".
