Hi everyone,
Preparing to purchase a Dodge Durango in Brilliant Black Crystal pearl. I know black is a lot of work to maintain but looks good when you do. Really looking for a product that will turn everyone's head with a deep, glossy, reflective finish.
I have been looking at Blackfire blackice and Wolfgang Fuxion. I have not used either of these products but appear to be good for dark colors. The blackfire appears to have a better longevity but I am not sure.
Certianly I am open to any suggestions anyone has. Since this is a new vehicle want to start out with a product that serves my desires. This will be a daily driver so durability is also a high priority.
Thanks for your help!

Polishing is going to give you 99.9% of your look, LSP is just icing on the cake, so if you prep well you can create what you want!

Either of those waxes is great, i'd opt for BlackICE

Agree.

As for the wax, I've got Collinite 845 on my black car and it looks great...or at least it did the last time I saw it not totally covered in salt.

black wax? 99% marketing... who really know if montan wax is better vs. bees vs. carnauba vs. polymers vs. everything else that goes into wax...

Collinite 915 is a yellow color and provides a great "warm" look. The whole "color charged" thing has never sway'd me into buying or not buying a product...

What he said :iagree: it's all in the prep work...

I've had black cars most of my life and I must say BlackICE is best stuff I've ever used...

From my experience the Blackfire BlackIce is the best I have used.

Good prep then some Blackfire Ice.
Sit back and drool. Lol
The stuff is amazing, easy to apply and remove.
A tub would last you a long time being you only use very little.

Looks like it will be blackfire Ice. That is what I was leaning towards anyway. Thanks for everyone's input

Nice choice! I am pleased with the gloss and the durability of Black Ice. The only question is...........Aren't you gonna pick up some other waxes so you can compare? :xyxthumbs:

Although as many people said, prep is the most important step. You might also get freatg benefits in the finish by applying a glaze like poorboys blackhole prior to the wax or sealant of your choice
