Hi all,
I might very possibly buy a mint used set of Black Rhino Pandora S (Pondora S) Wheels and Tires from a local acquaintance. They currently reside upon a 2005 Yukon Denali, wish to put them on my 1997 Tahoe,and some issues are, not totally sure about the fit, getting mixed technical advice.
Wheel size is 22"x9.5, Tires are Nitto NT420S in 305/40-22"
Tires and Wheels are less than a year old, and have 10K on them. They look unmolested, and are spotless.
Well anyway, one fact that I cannot find out, even after talking to somebody at Black Rhino a couple of days ago, this Pondora Silver Wheel is of course Silver, and is stated to have a machine mirror polished Face, and Rim.
The one thing I'm not sure of, is I can figure the sides, and barrel of the wheel are powdercoated silver, but as for the 6 Spoke Faces, and Rim, I am unsure whether they are clear coated, or just uncoated raw Aluminum?
Reckon only one way to find out. Take a small amount of Metal Polish, and very lightly rub in a small area, if I see black on the towel, then I would gather they are uncoated in these areas, and can be polished to a high(er) luster.
If not, and they are clear coated, then perhaps one can then only use just a very mild paint polish, something like Meg's 205.
Should I purchase them, and I find they fit, I would like treating them to probably both an Opti-Coat protection, and would probably also buy the Tuff Shine Tire Cleaning-Coating Kit.
If the Wheel Faces-Rim are bare, are polished, and degreased with something like Pinnacle Paint Cleanser-IPA Mix, will Opti-Coat then be a suitable product to use on this raw aluminum?
