First time I post pics, I bought a new camera today so excuse some of the blurry ones while i still mess with the settings. Olympus 7.1 mp

About 3 weeks ago when I got my UDM I detailed her using

-Clay Magic Clay
-XMT final glaze
-DP sealant
-NXT Tech Wax

Today, I did the following

-Megs XMT Car Wash with a bucket and grit guard
-Dried with an "absorber"
-Quick detailed and dried again with DP QD and a microfiber towel
-1 layer of XMT 180 Wax, Hand Waxed
-1 layer of PB Natty's Blue
Topped with AW.

I was "Experimenting" today with the layers of wax, results were amazing. In a few weeks I plan on doing it again just this time with the UDM.

Please note the car is blue not black

^ I waiting like 5 minutes.
you need to wait ATLEAST 18 hrs before you apply another coat of wax, i wait 24. wax does dries fast, but it does not cure fast, wax needs time to cure and bond to the surface, that is why you should not get a freashly waxed car wet. next time wait 18hrs first.

I think you are all referring to cure times for SEALANTS. You can top waxes back to back.

Car looks great! I really like this IS's.

I am pretty sure waxes need time to cure, like sealants.

Lexus still single stage paint versus clearcoat ???

wait what?!?!?! My car is BLUE not black.....

Nice looking Lexus you got there, are you sure it's black ;) just kidding, really nice depth to it.

Thanks for sharing.

Cool shots, and when certain blue's are detailed they look black. You've got your thing going on.

we know we were just wondering why lexus uses SS on their black cars.
cheaper, makes the car lighter, looks better and is funner to play with :)

On the Lexus 06 & 07 IS250,350 series:
All flat colors are two stage and all pearl and metalics are three stage.
All have CC.
According the body shop here that specializes in Lexus, MB, and BMW.
