I have a question about using Meguiar's D114 as a waterless wash. I see lots of people talking about using it as a rinceless wash at that ratio of 1:128, does that go for waterless as well?
Thanks!
I thought 128:1 was for waterless, 256:1 for rinseless. From watching the autogeek video they mentioned 15:1 for cleaning off dried compound.1:15 for waterless wash

I've been using 128:1 for my rinseless washes.
Today I put 5oz of the stuff into a 5 gallon drum with a tap and filled it up with DI water, works great! I am looking for a waterless wash that you dont have to buff off, like UWW+. I love using it for cars, have done about 10 cars using the water less wash method and does not scratch the paint! I find that the higher the dilution the more residue it leaves behind making it hard to buff off, especially on black paint and glass! Even now at 1:128 it leaves a residue that takes a bit of time to get off of glass.
Please see the nomenclature that I have chosen for D114:So you guys are saying you only have to add less than a half an ounce (0.2) of D114 in a 32oz bottle (1.128) to make Waterless Wash? With D115 Meguiars recommends 6.4 oz of D115 in a 32 OZ bottle (4.1) for Waterless Wash . It looks like D114 is the most economical Waterless Wash on the market
Then:You can use d115 at 20:1 I believe there was a review thread done on here not too long ago.
Then:
Into which category would this solution of D115 @20:1 belong/be-used-as: Rinseless-Wash or Waterless-Wash?
Bob
Thanks.It was a waterless.
I will admit I was never a huge Megs guy, but these two products got me hooked into their pro line!
Believe it or not:Ok awesome! I am excited to try out D114 as a waterless wash with the double sided waterless wash micro fiber towels.
So 1:128 will work on very soiled surfaces, with 1:256 on light surfaces.
It's crazy to think that 1:128 seems like such a scant ratio, little product to water, that such little product will do the job?
