Hi,
I am afraid I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway...
I have a black '06 Corvette that I have babied since I got it, but sometime along the way, I apparently got hit with some sprinkler water and I didn't get to it in time. The result is a lot of pitting/cratering.
Here is an example:
You may need to zoom all the way in to see what I mean.
To me, those craters look too deep to try to polish out...and I've tried. I am afraid of getting too aggressive and burning through.
Tools I have/Combos I've tried:
Flex 3401
PC 7424
Hydro Orange, Cyan and Red pads
CCS Orange, White, Grey pads
Menzerna SIP
Meguiar's M105/M205
Adams PCP/PFP
Now, if I can't polish these out, is there something I can use to fill them, or at least make them less noticeable? Surface gloss is great, but when I get out in direct sunlight, it almost looks like my car has a metallic finish.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Mike
