Can anyone recommend a decent little palm polisher for applying wax and sealants. Would like something small and light with a velcro backer.

That thing looks pretty cool for getting even pressure on a foam pad compared to doing it by hand. I have a GG6 but was just checking to see if there were any decent hand polishers out there I could try. I just think a little orbital would be perfect for applying sealant.

Griots just launched a lithium ion powered palm polisher. Probably only worthwhile for wax spreading, but perhaps AG will carry this in the future.

The griots you already have is probably the best wax applicator you can get. Get small pads and plate and rock on.

Well, just for the heck of it I picked up a cheap palm polisher at HF today. Gonna convert it to hook & loop and try a Griots red pad. Maybe this weekend I'll try to hit the MKX with a coat of Z2 or DG105. I know my GG6 is a great machine but I just wanna see how this works for wax and sealants.

Just curious - are you finding deficiencies in using the GG6 for wax application?

GG6 has been a great machine for waxing but it can get kind of cumbersome and tough on the old lower back when working down low. It just seems to me that a small light and COMPACT palm machine that could be easily operated with one hand would be awesome for applying wax and sealants. I took a look at the Black & Decker and Mothers palm polishers but they are both far from compact. The regular palm sanders from Dewalt, Craftman and others are more compact but I'm guessing they are way to fast for automotive use.

Hit the MKX today with the HF palm polisher. Worked fantastic to lay down a quick coat of DG105!!! I used a red Griots pad and did the whole job with one hand. I know this type of machine is not popular here but it really was a pleasure to use. Would be a lifesaver for those with tennis or golfers elbow. I think I actually prefer it to the GG6 for sealant application.

This? Meguiar's :props:

^ Same one I'm using in my avatar when I was wet sanding. I like it for headlight restoration too.

The Harbor Freight number is 90219 6" Compact Palm Polisher. I'm sure it's cheap Chinese quality but the one I got is smooth and very quiet. They also have the 69487 which appears to be replacing the 90219 but looks and feels like it's a lower quality machine. My local HF had both.
