With this sale going on and the gift certificate available I'm going to be upgrading my polisher and also want to get a steamer. Which polisher should I get? The 3401 or the rupes 15? The 3401 after discount and gift certificate would be $286.00 but I would also have to buy the 4 3/8 backing plate for it to work with the pads I already have, so it would really be around $316.00. The rupes would be $294.50 and would work with the pads I already have. Just looking for your opinions and your experience with these machines.
Also, should I grab a steamer from here or should I just get the mcculloch mc1385? The new dupray steamers look really nice!!

Thanks everyone!

If you've got the money in the budget that Dupray looked great from Mikes write up. I personally have a 1385 and 0 complaints. As for the polisher what do you currently have?

I'd get the 3401 but you can't really go wrong with either one. If you're like me you'll eventually own both.

Anybody??

If you use a steam machine a lot, especially every day, the ability to fill the Dupray on the fly can't be understated...

How To Use the Dupray Hill Injection Steam Cleaner

This steamer ON and at full heat and I'm adding water. Most steamers use a pressurized tank and when you run out of steam, that means you've run out of water and if the tank is pressurized you have to turn the steamer OFF and wait for it to cool down before you can remove the lid to the water tank. This means time waiting instead of time cleaning.

Handy Dandy Clamping System

The spring loaded clamp for attaching towels is also a time saving feature you will love.

For cleaning car interior, you're going to love the triangle brush with the spring loaded towel clamp. This makes placing a clean towel onto the brush fast and easy and it holds it very securely.

The size of the brush head is PERFECT for any standard size 16" square microfiber or cotton towel.

Simply fold the towel diagonally to create a triangle shape like this...

Place the brush head onto the folded towel like this with a little more extra space at the top. (not much just a little, you need some excess at the back also)

Use your finger or thumb to depress the spring loaded clamp....

Then simply pull the three corners of the towel up and through the open slots of the clamp....

Should look like this when done correctly...

You're ready to start cleaning and disinfecting without using chemicals.... this can be a real lifesaver if you're allergic to or sensitive to cleaning chemicals.

Ewww.... that's pretty gross... the good news is not only has all the body oils, dirt and grime from 1987 been removed but any bacteria, mold, germs and viruses have been killed.

I currently us the HF DA, it takes a long time, it's loud, it vibrates ALOT but for $50 dollars I can't complain bc it does get the job done. Just want to get an overall smoother, faster correcting machine and I will put a 3 inch backing plate on the HF to use for smaller areas.

Thanks for all the info Mike! Have you tried the new Dupray One or One Plus steamer? If you have, how do they compare to this model you were using?

Oh my goodness Mike, Why did you show me that? Now I'm plotting and trying to figure out how to hide a purchase like that from my wife.
