I know this has been addressed on several threads, however, I seem to be at a loss in finding this information. I am going to use PBA/501 on my car and I want to mix the two to instead of one then the other down on the car. I have seen where people said that they use 4 dime size drops of one and one dime size drop of the other on the pad, but I can't find which is which. Also, I have seen someone say they mixed in a ketchup type dollar store bottle. I'm guessing it was at the 4:1 ratio as mentioned straight to the pad. My question is which is the 4 and which is the 1 in the ratio. Sorry for beating a dead horse, but like I said I couldn't find the ratio and my brain is fried from work so I'm taking the easy way out. Have a great weekend and thanks in advance.

1 part PBA (601) 4 parts 501. I'd do it in a bottle and just use a ruler. 1 half inch 601 and 4 half inches (= two inches) of 501.

mreed2483,

I recently applied Duragloss 501 with the PBA and mixed the two right on the pad. It's 4 parts polish (501) with 1 part PBA, so I put 4 equal-sized drops of 501 on the pad, then 1 same-sized drop of PBA right in the middle of the drops of 501, then blended the whole mixture by hand (with a plastic bag over my fingers to avoid contamination with body oils, dirt, etc.).

Worked nicely and was no more trouble than using mixing bottles, shaking, and so on to achieve the mixing.

Hope this helps...
