This is the 2nd set of tires coated with the new DP Tire Coating - 1994 Toyota Camry.

(This was the 1st set of tires recently coated with DP Tire Coating: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/86411-new-dp-tire-cleaner-coating-review.html)

This was after three rounds of the new DP Tire Cleaner using a TS Tire Brush. Don't have any before pictures but the tires had remnants of a tire dressing.
White foam was noticed during the 2nd round of brushing indicating the tire was clean. I did one more round just for good measure.

Applied the DP Tire Coating using the Carrand Tire Brush.

.

Before using the brush I like to brush the tips lightly with the TS Tire Brush to clean and knock off any loose particles from the feathered bristles.

Last time I poured the coating into a plastic container and then dipped the brush into the container.
This time I poured the coating directly on the brush. I like this method better because less product is wasted.

2 coats.

After 2 sets of tires (8 tires) and 2 coats on each tire, there is about 3/4 of the 4oz bottle remaining.

A little goes a long way :dblthumb2:. So far I'm impressed with the DP Tire Coating. Just need to check out the durability.

Great documentation and picture taking especially the close ups. Can't wait to see the longenvity of the products. Keep us posted buddy.

Thanks Chris, I'll keep you posted...if I remember :)

If you were to take a clean MF towel and wipe the clean tire after 3 rounds, would you get any color transfer? Or just a clean towel? Wondering because I have trouble with clean tires still giving me grayish or black, not brown, on my cleaning medium

I didn't try wiping the tires after the 3 rounds with a MF towel, I was basically looking for the white foam while brushing and also that the bristles on the Tuf Shine Brush were white also. That's usually a good indicator that the tire is clean.

Nice review using this method. The results look great.

Thanks for the review. I'm on the fences about getting a bottle of this for my personal vehicles.

Great review, definitively inclined to get the tire coating, it'll go in my next order!

Thanks for taking your time sharing,

And for sure, you did an awesome job on that tires!

Kind Regards.

Out of curiosity:
How long have the tires been on the 1994 Camry?
They look brand new now!! :props:

Bob

The tires were purchased in August of 2011. They are Michelin Harmony 80,000 mile tires. The car had about 154,000 miles when the tires were purchased and now the car has about 170,000 miles. They are basically still new, still have a few more miles to go. The tires may outlast the car :xyxthumbs:.

Thanks for your feedback Rafael.

question for the op. you stated you did not wipe the tires clean with a mf towel. did you rinse off the DP tire cleaner and let tires air dry before applying DP tire coating ?

Yes, tires were rinsed with water after the 3rd round of scrubbing with DP Tire Cleaner and then the tires were allowed to dry completely before applying the DP Tire Coating.

Awesome review & pics… now I know what to add to my wish list.

Thanks Frank!

thanks for confirming what I figured you had done. appreciate the review. this looks like a great product ! will have to buy the kit and test it out this winter.

Great work those tires look brand new!!

Looks like another product I may have to break the bank for at some point even though I have like way too much tire dressing.
