Does Gloss-Coat need to cure overnight before it gets wet like Opti-Coat 2.0? My new truck should arrive in the next day or two and I want to decon, polish, and coat it this weekend, but there's a good chance of rain and I don't want it to keep me from driving it! Thanks.

It only needs a few hours to cure out. I would give it 3 hours in these cold fronts we've had lately.

I was told at purchase to allow 12 hours before letting the car get wet. And 7 days to let the coating cure to full chemical strength. No strong soaps or chemical until then.

Can you divulge the source of this information?

Compared to the other Optimum Coatings...
whether they be "newly-named", or discontinued...
that would be a good thing!

I was informed by Ronald Doyle at Optimum that, " Your car can be driven 1 hour after application and washed with soap 7 days later."

This is the mobile version of the site I purchased it from. My apologies, it's 6 hours until it can get wet but I waited 12 hours just to be safe.

Not sure how accurate this website is or where they got their info from though.
Due to the below Dr. G posting:

Ronald Doyle, and Chris Thomas (?), are probably going to be the only providers of "The Official Word" when it comes to answering Optimum Gloss Coat questions.

Thanks guys. I'll just treat it like the cars that I've done with 2.0 to be safe.
