Zoom in to see the orange peel and see more detail!

Came across these pictures I took a little while back while detailing. Thought I would share.

Very easy process: compound as you would but with the Carpro denim/velvet pad (takes a TON of passes surprisingly) and take ptg readings in between passes and clean your pad more frequently (will show in a future video).

~90 percent removal of orange peel and 2-3 uM reduction of paint. Did 15 passes with the denim pad with M100 as the compound on GG 6".

Anyways, here's the pictures:

Looks good bud! But why didn't you just wet sand? At $10 per pad, that's 10 sheets of sand paper at car quest and the sand paper lasts quite long...

Thanks!

$10 for a 2 pack if I'm not mistaken. So $5.

Easier, faster, less paint reduction. Plenty of reasons to choose these over sanding.

Re-check the autogeek store, lone and behold I didn't read all the print, 2 for $10. I am an idiot. *face to palm*

I am also a fan of the CarPro Denim pads. This is a brand new paint job on a Lexus.

I must admit, I'm struggling to see the difference in the OP pics, even at full size. I've heard good things about the denim pads though..

The post above shows an obvious difference and looks great.

This forum downsizes them. They unfortunately aren't the true size.

You can see it better here. Orange Peel Removal - Zoom in to see texture detail - Album on Imgur (http://imgur.com/gallery/v0hlt)

Mine are not as clear a difference as on Jeff's pictures I must admit.

Ty builthatch that was some really bad orange peel. At least something good came out of that job. I didnt make anywhere near enough money on that job. Wishing i passed the blessing on to someone else after now calling it a lesson learned. I would love to hear what everyone on here would have charged. It took 2 days! On second thought maybe i dont want to open that wound again. I do appreciate the nice comments :xyxthumbs:
