I'm looking for feedback from anyone that's polished a "Soul Red" Mazda 3 or Mazda 6.

Is the paint hard or soft? I recall hearing that this particular color is soft, but from my experience Mazda paint is usually rock hard.

Just curious - thanks fellas. :dblthumb2:

I thought most Japanese made cars the paint is usually "soft". IMO, it is easier to correct and polish than European (hard paint) cars.

My GUESS is soft. But if and when you find out let us know. Sorry I wasn't much help.

Soft down this end of the planet Nick. :xyxthumbs:

I've polished out at least a dozen Mazda's in "soul red" ( popular colour in NZ ) I wouldn't say as soft as Subaru but not far off.

Aaryn NZ. :dblthumb2:

A bit on the softer side. I kinda love mazda paint- easy to correct and yet seems to resist marring better than other cc systems.

Interesting there's so much positive feedback for the Mazda paint systems here.

I hate my flat black Mazda paint. I've actually started car shopping recently because I can't handle how easily marred/chipped it is.

What year is your Mazda?

My 2010 Mazda3 in Graphite Metallic Gray is really easy to work with. It isn't as soft as Toyota or Subaru paint, so it doesn't seem to scuff/swirl/mar very easily, yet it's still reasonably easy to correct.

2011. You should see my bumper/hood under LED light. Looks like salt & pepper there are so many rock chips. I hardly ever drive on highways either. I'm not sure how much of it happened before I got it, but man it looks bad sometimes. I have to use a black pad and no pressure to remove any micromarring I get. Anything more than that is too aggressive for it.
