Hey guys -

So on Saturday I spent 7 hours detailing my SUV and had it looking fantastic. Finished it with some CarPro Reflect and a coat of Mez Power Lock. Amazing combo. Anyway, my wife took the SUV for an hour and came back with tree sap all over it. UGH!! All the drops are very tiny but the SUV is covered in it.

I'm just looking for a recommendation on how to get sap off without damaging the new coating of sealant. Quick detailer? Rinseless Wash?

Thanks!
Matt

A light claying should remove the sap without compromising the sealant.

A good powerful rinse followed by a good wash may do the trick. I washed and waxed (NXT) my wife's car a couple months ago and a few days later it was covered in sap from the tree it's usually parked under. A decent pressure tip on the hose followed by a wash with Meg's UWW had it all clean.

Thanks for the tips :xyxthumbs:

I'll probably try the wash first and then clay if necessary.
