For when I do "quick" details for my part time business or doing my family's cars, which one step cleaner/wax should I get? Is there one that is pretty much go-to for whatever?

Thanks to forum user Custmsprty, I recently bought HD SPEED myself...of which I ought to still use.😉

I'll keep everyone posted here as well!

I don't know any bad cleaner-waxes on AGO. I used Klasse, XMT, Mothers (California Gold, Reflection and FX SynWax) and Meguiars. They all work the same.

The only determining factor I use (besides mood/preference) is whether or not I want abrasives, chemical cleaners or both. Enjoy.

In the last few weeks I used XMT on my Volkswagen CC and FX SynWax on my wife's Acura. Particularly with Mothers FX, I always find it interesting how much dirty my pads get.

i love Blackfire Total Polish & Seal. Extremly easy to use, only downfall (unless they have since fixed it) is if it sits for a long time it becomes chunky and un-useable. But i could proabbly do 10-15 cars on one 16oz bottle

Depending on how bad the paint is I would use , Duragloss 101, 501, 111, and 105. These are a great bang for the buck.

How many cars can a 16oz bottle do?

I'd say you should be able to do an average size vehicle at least 8-10 times, using an avg. of 2 oz. per vehicle is very easy to do when applying by machine, actually I'm pretty sire I use less than that.

When it comes to cleaner waxes dont over think them.

Or overpay.

The meguiars ,or mothers cleaner wax is available at walmart, and over the counter. They also have a zymol cleaner wax which is 10.99 i think

No need to pay 20-30$ for a cleaner wax , when those will get the job done.

(Being that a cleaner wax is supposed to be fast,
because the customer does not want to pay for a proper polish,
so you get what you pay for)

Also if your going to be willing to pay more , you might as well buy HD SPEED.

A polish wax/sealant for 16 oz is 15.99 32oz 22.99

Pretty cheap and you will get amazing results. However those jobs can take longer.

And if your client is only paying for cleaner wax, then give the customer what there paying for.

Cleaner wax is a faster application.

(Of course buy the liquid cleaner wax via machine faster with better results)

Go with HD Speed, you'll be glad you did. If you're not I'll personally pay for the cost of a 16oz. bottle all you have to do is send it my way.

Meguiar's M66 "Quick Detailer". That product is not the spray on / wipe off maintenance product, but a professional, premium quality cleaner wax, or all in one (aio) product. It can be applied by hand, orbital, or rotary machine. I've had nothing but excellent results with it. I honestly can't believe how overlooked it is. I picked up a gallon for about $26.00... The white Lake Country CCS is my favorite pad to use it on. Good treatment of fine scratches and blemishes, great looks good durability.

For less correcting power M20 Polymer Sealant, M06 Cleaner Wax, Duragloss 101, and 501 are also stellar performers. M66 is the daddy though.

26$ for a gallon is a steal of a deal !
Never tried it going to have to order it for the shop.

HD Speed! 32 oz. is a much better value! $7 more than the 16 oz., it's a no brainer!

It is an excellent product even my wife has commented on how much time it has taken off my one step polish jobs.

Plus I like the red reusable seal under the squeeze cap. Makes me feel a little better about storing the product. As well as getting the bigger bottle.
