Making an order today and I need a few more dollars to hit the $50 for free shipping. Considering either Sonax High Speed wax or BSD. Or redundant to have both? Any other awesome Sonax products to try other than the wheel cleaner? I'd love to hear people's opinions thanks.

The wax is pretty good, but BSD is amazing. It looks good, easy to apply, lasts and it's super hydrophobic.

get Polymer Netshield.... lasts months and beads like a mofo

If you're looking for another Sonax product to try, I recommend EX 04-06. It's one of the best polishes I've ever used.

Check out my video review here, I applied High Speed Wax and Brilliant Shine Detailer on opposite sides of the hood and show the difference in the water behavior you'll get:

Here's my video review of BSD by itself:

Overall two great products, BSD is less slick but the durability and water behavior is one of the best on the market right now if you like that kind of feature. High Speed Wax is a great maintenance product for other regular waxes or sealants when you want to keep up on the slickness and beading, but if you want to amp the beading up to another level or you're trying to work something on top of Polymer Net Shield, then BSD is the one to go with.

After seeing your videos I have the following questions since I just purchased those Sonax products today.

  • If I apply CarPro Reload or SPNS, a wax is needed or recommended on top of that?
  • And if the case that the wax is applied, will lose the water beading properties from the sealant?
  • How do you clean your MF after using those sealants?

Thanks!

P.S. your videos are very informative on the products you review, props on that.

Neither of these need anything on top of them, they should work fine for months but it's no fun waiting that long. :xyxthumbs:

After a few weeks with Reload I notice some drop in the beading and I'll either top it back up with another coat of Reload or use something like Ultimate Quik Wax or D156 from Meguiar's. The beading on SPNS is really durable, after about 2-3 months I noticed it dipped slightly. So if I was going to top that with anything, it would be BSD because the chemistry matches. If you try to top SPNS with something like UQW or High Speed Wax, I noticed a slight drop in beading.

Haven't had any trouble with the microfiber after using these sealants. The SPNS doesn't seem to clean easy out of the applicator pad so I make sure that it is my designated pad for applying it, but the microfiber is fine and I'm cleaning them with Micro-Restore in the wash and hand clean my pads with Pinnacle XMT Pad Cleaner.

Thanks for your feedback!

Well I decided to just order some Wolfgang stuff instead but good info on this thread.

Last question, any tip when doing a waterless or rinseless wash while using SPNS/Reload?

Thanks again for your input.

After reading this thread: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...-review-how-wolfgang-uber-rinseless-wash.html

I got the impression that Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash could be the ultimate formula for QD spray/Soap :).

I haven't done any rinseless or waterless washes with them, mostly because I've been checking the beading with a regular wash as I go with different test spots I have up as well. I want to test to see if there's any drastic difference in the water behavior after using the Optimum No Rinse that I have, I've heard some guys notice a masking of the beading with certain products after a rinseless wash. But I'll be up here in Chicago for another month or so without the Sonax or Reload so then I'll be able to get back to more tests with them when I head back down south.

Awesome, I'll keep an eye on your channel then! :xyxthumbs:

Did someone say polymer net shield ?

And yeah, BsD is top stuff too. Adds a lot to the looks (shine and wetness) and top beading and sheeting. Use very little.

I have mixed BSD with CG v7 to overcome its grabbiness. Also mixed it with Reload to get great slick outcomes.

Sounds like I wouldn't like BSDs grabbiness from the reviews I've read. I love products like Uber Rinseless and D115 because they clean and leave a slick glossy finish at the same time. I know protection is minimal but I use OCW so often I've got multiple layers of that, D115, ONRWW, etc on the car all the time.

It's not as bad as people mention it. It's just not super slick. At the price it's must have for the sealant like attribute(too good looks) it offer and 50% more quantity than most offerings.
