It was 60 degrees in Chicago today so I did a quick No rinse wash, used my new cobra clay mitt and decided to put a fresh coat of WGDPS on my Jetta today. I haven't been able to go more than 4 weeks without adding a new coat.

The weather was just too nice today to not re-coat. I have been reading that wolfgang will easily last 3-4 months (all winter) but I just can't leave it alone....

Anyone else have this problem?

After you washed and clayed the vehicle...
it's untelling how much of the existing
WDGPS would have actually been left.

So, IMO:
It's a good thing that you re-coated! :dblthumb2:

I always say I'm going to test the durability of one of my waxes or sealants but I NEVER see them through. I'm the biggest product waster on this forum :-( I get to much "therapy" out of hand waxing one of my cars:dblthumb2:

I washed my car twice within 12 hours...

I HD speed my car within 3 weeks before....

I have issues...

I started back in September this whole thing.. I get it...

SAME HERE. HD POXY will never see its potential lifespan with Tran man.

I know what you mean..me too.

Durability of a product? What does that mean?....LOL We crazy guys that are obsessed with detailing will never know.....kind of like the kid asking the wise old owl..."How many licks does it take to get to the chocolate of a Tootsie Pop?" The Owl bites into the Tootsie Pop after 4 licks and says We will never know!!!

LOL

LMAO!!! 422!!! I thought it was 423!! Dang Nabitt!!
Let's see:
•Average OD of a Tootsie Roll Pop (TRP) = 27.00mm

The Laws of Fluid Mechanics dictates that:
-The average human tongue (when "salivated")
is capable of removing ~10 mm of product (TRP)
per: 1000 licks.

•Therefore...To get to the center of a TRP:
-It appears that the likelihood of ~2500 licks
would be required.

LMAO!!! You had me confused at the Laws of Fluid Mechanics!!....As always Bob you had me spitting out my drink when I read this!! Should I call you Mr. Owl??....LOL

So Honcho and I are WRONG!!! Blasphemy!!

If the diameter is 27mm, wouldn't that mean it's 13.5mm to the center?

•OK..Good catch!
-Only half the licks that I initially proposed. :xyxthumbs:

•But don't forget that there is the chewy
nougat center. (Inadvertently left out)
-I thought the goal was reaching that gem?
-Should its OD also be counted...as in: (+/-)?

Bob, you're right. I did forget the nougat center! I think for accuracy's sake we must include it.

This is getting too complicated for me. Time to break out the drill...

I'm on day 3 of the new coat and I can say that Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 is holding up nicely after it's first wash!

HA!
