There was a small fire where my buddy stores his car
Melted plastic dripped onto his car
whats the best remedy for removal?

I'm thinking heat gun and einzette bug and tar remover
With plastic razor blade or fishing line by my side for plan b?

Single stage..original so most likely laquer
And I ment like blotting it
But I'd imagine could just get it hot enough and blot away by itsself

Your in a jam with that single stage,I was gonna recommend a solution to your promblem but maybe it will do more harm than good.Try some mineral spirits in a inconspicuous area to make sure there is no heavey paint transfer from the ms.or stick to heat and a plastic blade and chip your way at it.It should more than likely release itself from the paint good luck and see where it gets you.

Yeah, or acetone I guess

I'll see what I have laying around and report back
I wouldn't use acetone or lacquer thinner,it,will wipe your paint away real quick.Thats why I asked you from the start about the paint .If it was base and clear then I would suggest lac or acetone.

Gotchya
I'll try heat gun and plastic razor blade first
Then mineral spirtz for 2nd process
Then polish
