Was doing some buffing today. Had to use XMT #3 on a Yellow LC pad on certain places of the car because the swirls were so deep. After XMT #3 there was alot of hazing/marring, so then out came XMT #2 with an Orange LC pad. Got rid of the hazing, now all that remained was micromarring from XMT #2. Got XMT #1 and a White LC pad, didnt remove any of the marring at all. They just look like very very fine swirls, and XMT #1 isn't removing them. I tried an Orange LC pad, didn't make a difference either. Quite upset actually that XMT let me down :(

What's a good polish that will remove light/moderate swirls but finish as a finishing polish and leave no marring/hazing behind..?

I personally would have used XMT2 with white pad first, then XMT1 with finishing pad as needed.

I was just thinking that..

Menzerna 106FF!

Maybe the clearcoat on the car you were polishing was some hard stuff. I used XMT #2 with an orange pad on an Xterra and there was some considerable hazing. After switching to XMT #1 with a white pad, it got all the hazing out. I recently did a Mercedes CL where I used XMT #3 with an orange pad and after buffing out some deep scratches, there was only some really light hazing. After running over the haze with XMT #1, it got out the hazing but I did have to work it pretty long.

What the said....106FF, medium pad or soft pad

:iagree: with :whs:x3... this stuffreally os the BOMB!! I may be getting rid of all my other polishes I mean who needs them with PG/SIP/FP/106FF I think I am all set!!

The finish/optical clarity/gloss of 106ff is second to no polish I have ever used!
