Is there a recommendation for treating fabric car seats and door panels for UV protection? Thanks...

Something like 3M Scotchgard will protect the fabric, atleast that's the idea. Dealers also upsell fabric protection, which is basically Scotchguard ... I'm just not sure if that'll prevent UV fading or not though. I'm sure it'd be better than nothing.

I agreed with budman3, also tint the windows and use a front window shade also.........

Sounds like alot likes 303, but has anyone used it? Write ups by the manufactor doesn't hold water with me, but members on this forum does.

Fabric Protection:
Once carpet or upholstery has been cleaned the use of a fabric protector will help to repel grease, dirt, water and oil-based stains. Select a product (303™ Fabric Protector) that contains UVR protection for maximum fade protection, a must for convertibles. Apply lightly with an applicator pad (Adams Super Plush Microfiber Applicator pads) - http://

On outdoor materials (convertible fabric or vinyl) it restores water and stains repellence, resists soiling, mildew formation and helps to protect against harmful ultra violet (UV) and infrared radiation (IR).

Ultra violet (UV) radiation protection- untreated fabric, leather and leather upholstery, rubber, vinyl, and other plastics readily absorb and are degraded by UV light; 303 ™ Space Protectant is a product that will provide most surfaces with UVR protection - http://www.autogeek.net

Yes, I've used it and now 303 is the ONLY thing I use!

Yeah, I've used it a few times Rsurfer. Can't make any claims to the UV protection but I can tell you that the first time that I used it I went back a week later and ask the owner if I could test it. We poured H2O on the cloth seat. It rolled off fast. Every drop.
That same car was the last time that I sprayed it with short sleeves. It will close your pores and you wont even know it. It caused skin problems for weeks and I never have those.
Anyway good stuff. Just be careful with overspray on you.

I use 303 on the wifes car and love it (thanks Sparkie for recommending it). Works wonderfully.

Thanks, fellas. I did read the manufactures advert but prefer the recommendations of those who have actually used it. Appreciate it much...303 it is.
