I can’t argue with that
They have a couple coats of sealant and most days they just need a non contact cleaning and a spritz of Megs HCW at 3:1 and a rinse off and blow dry

They remind me of those round plastic puzzles where you have a maze and a ball that you have to tilt and twist and stuff to get the ball through the maze and into a hole at the end

You need to change your brake pads.

They're the BMW M pads...Known to be dusters. At the cost of swapping, I'll keep riding dirty!

I understand...one of my cars the factory pads dusted like that, I think they were trying to compete with BMW and Mercedes at the time, so they figured they needed the wheels to be covered with black brake dust. I would wash my car and wheels on the weekend, and then wash the wheels in the middle of the week because the car was clean and the wheels were black. When it was time to do the front brakes, I installed Akebono Pro-Acts, and the front wheels stayed cleaner than the back, until I changed the backs, also. I understand not swapping them on an M.

Ironically the brake dust doesn't drive me as crazy as the piano black. I can live with the dust...it gives me reason to keep on cleaning!
The RFT tires that came factory were just dangerous in about 70% of Colorado's weather. Those got swapped in the first Fall. I actually sold the RFTs (somewhat used even) and got decent money. As long as the brakes aren't dangerous, I'll live with the dust.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
I have been reorganizing space in garage for the detailing stuff I am trying to get it all in one general location.
For me, I wash in early morning to beat the sun so time is critical. I need to get it washed and then back in the garage to finish. I also gave a brother in law, a 2 bucket dolly and a DP car dryer (had a spare).

Another North Carolinian. I’m hoping to retire and move to a nice little town like Hillsborough.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
I set up my new toy. Going from my old Ryobi to the Active 2.0 was a huge leap in cleaning power but going from the 2.0 to the 2.3 is noticeable, but not earth shattering. I mainly upgraded since I’m partnering with my BIL and his car flipping venture and I need something more potent than his old Ryobi. My Active 2.0 is now my mobile washer and the 2.3 will be my home machine.

Nice effort, that's a lot of real estate to deal with.

I also despise wheels bigger than 18”. I want sidewall. More squish for a more comfortable ride, also being in Wyoming I want some tires with lots of meat and squish for snow, ice and off road
