Ugh. I broke a part in the gun when I tried to clean it incorrectly.

Got to place an order for a 2nd gun

So do you lay it on thick and peel off the tape when still wet?

That's the trick i used in the past when Plastidipping.

You can do that. It just depends on the size of the gaps/where the tape meets the dip.

18x8 garage door screen. Goes up and down in minutes with strong Velcro.

Should have gotten one of these years ago.

Replacement gun and part to repair the other gun (giving me two guns) should arrive tomorrow. Plan to spray tomorrow night and Sat afternoon

I still have a few more coats of orange to lay down but the new replacement gun is laying down some awesome fan patterns.

This color should really pop with the black accents

After a broken gun delayed the project I’m mostly done

I think the clear went down without any runs or issues. The dip armor is always the scariest part. It’s thinner than the dip (or spreads out easier) amd cn run if you’re not careful. The regular dip is definitely more forgiving. 2 light wet coats with no wit time in between. Plus you wear a full face mask/respirator and a full body suit so it’s. Bit more difficult

Now to let it dry overnight and start putting it back together tomorrow. It won’t be this shiny. It will be satin like green was

I was wrong about the clear going down without issues

Got a bunch of bumps in various areas. Not sure is some type of decontamination, humidity, heat issue

I’d rate my truck dip as a 5/10 since I messed up and got runs

Green dip on car a 9/10

Orange dip on car like a 6 or 7 of 10

Should ok at a distance. Not up close.

Possibly my last dip job. 1000% won’t ever dip one while it’s this hot again

Oh man, so sorry to see/hear. That's a lot of hard work to get there. Gotta believe you are correct that the heat had a big role in upsetting the finish.
