Boat Detailing Training - Before & After Pictures - The MOST DOCUMENTED HANDS-ON Boat Detailing Classes - Autogeek - Stuart, Florida

The MOST Photo-Documented Boat Detailing Classes on Planet Earth!

What separates our boat detailing classes from all the rest is we DOCUMENT them to show real people working on real boats. In fact, you won't see any pictures of people sitting in chairs looking at a power point slide on the wall.

What you will see are boats in HORRIBLE condition and people on their feet training on them. This is real-world, on-your-feet, hands-on training. After taking one of our boat detailing classes you will know exactly what to do from start to finish.

When you arrive to a customer's boat or when a customer brings you their boat, OR if you just want to detail your own boat, there won't be any guessing as to what to do or the order to do if you take our boat detailing training class.

I guarantee it - Mike Phillips - Instructor for Marine 31 and Autogeek

Our Class History

In order, here are our boat detailing classes fully documented. Before signing up for, paying for or taking ANY other boat detailing class, TRY to find this volume of documentation.

Below are a few pictures showing the before and after condition. Included are the LINKS to the full write-ups where you can see ALL the pictures.

Enjoy!

BEFORE

Here's where we started... a 2007 16' Key Largo Center Console Boat that has not been polished or waxed for years...

Dull, oxidized gel-coat, no shine, no reflection, rough to the touch...

Key_Largo_Boat_Detailing_002.jpg

Oxidation over all the console and stained, oxidized chrome surfaces...

Key_Largo_Boat_Detailing_003.jpg

AFTER

This boat had zero gloss and shine when it arrived and the hull felt rough to the touch. Now it's a dramatically brighter white, with excellent shine, gloss and even reflection....

2007_Key_Largo_Boat_Detailing_Class_032.jpg

Before there was zero reflections - now you can see the red and black tile floor reflecting in the side of the hull.

2007_Key_Largo_Boat_Detailing_Class_036.jpg

Now the console is bright, shiny and glossy again...

BEFORE

Here's the "before" pictures to document the condition of the boat before we started this project.

Holograms in gel-coat

The below picture is a full size section cropped out of the above resized picture. The lines you see running back and forth across where the flash from my camera is lighting up the side of the hull are holograms from a rotary buffer.

ShearWater_004c.jpg

ShearWater_005.jpg

Water Spot Stains & Oxidation

Not only is the entire hull filled with holograms from the misuse of a rotary buffer, (the normal practice by most boat detailers), the gel-coat is also oxidized and covered with water spot stains.

First, here's some pictures that show the excessive orange peel or surface texture in the gel-coat after it was sprayed as a part of restoring this classic Glastron.

Re: Before & After Picture from our Boat Detailing Classes

:bump:

The ONLY photo-documented boat detailing classes on Planet Earth shown our classes are truly hands-on classes.

If you learn better by sitting in a chair, you'll need to find a different boat class.

The next boat detailing class is coming up in February. It's Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th.

The class starts at 7:30am SHARP and you will be on your feet, standing next to a neglected boat working with your hands.

First boat confirmed for this class is here,
