turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic spray on enclave
Another quick review of a new product I used. There are many reviews on this product but one more may not hurt
This is a 2008 buick enclave with 150 000 miles, its been driving all year long including harsh winters in Canada. It has also been driving from toronto to miami 4 times and it has always been kept parked outside. I do not wash this car regularly , I try to do it once every 2 months or so. No previous ceramic coating applied to this car. Only sealants once or twice a year.
I bought the turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic spray because it was cheap , on sale and it offered longer durability. I read very good reviews on seal and shine already but I decided to step it up a bit a more. I would've preferred to try turtle wax graphene on this car but it was not available at a time and after seeing the prices on the graphene product, I think I ll stick to this for now
Im not proud of the prepwork on this car, I did iron x , no clay , and a quick hand polish. The car can fit in my garage but its a tight fit and the weather outside is just too cold to do any proper polish. Still , the car was lightly polished in September so that is close enough
Prep work
1- Iron X
2 - Car wash
3 - Hand Polish with M205
4 - Eraser Panel Wipe
5 - turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic spray 2 coats, 24 hours apart
Review
Application - Spray on , wipe off immediately, very easy to apply and wipe off. I used a suede applicator for this product , the product does not get sticky , its surprisingly very thin , like a diluted product type of feeling. I was a bit worry that it did not feel sticky at all.
Glossiness - Very pleased on this department, the color just pops , it looks pretty damn good on a dark color car. For a 20 dollar product this is truly amazing on this department, assuming this product lasts longer than beadmaker.
Slickness - The surface feels slick , but it is not as slick as other products ( beadmaker, the last coat black ice ), I was not too impressed here, but I was not disappointed .
Durability - I had this product on the car for a few weeks already , it has snow and rain quite a bit lately, it been through 3 car washes and it has seen salt on the road a few times . The product its still there and it still shines like the day I put it on .
Lastly the car keeps itself clean after the snow melts, it reminds me a lot of my ceramic coating on my bmw , where the car just seems to stay clean after rain or snow . Its also easier to clean , ONR washes are very quick and my towel does not get as dirty as before .

Yes I was thinking the samething. I m digging the turtle wax line up .
The graphene stuff is tempting too , but at 40$ canadian, its up there in price with other great products.
How do you like the wet wax?

Wet Wax is really good. You get really good shine, slickness and water beading.

Is a topper like the Wet Wax necessary? I was going to purchase the BlackFire ceramic coating for my black MDX but am not sure how much longer I am going to keep it, so I just purchased the TW Ceramic Spray and am now wondering do I need to top it with something like Wet Wax. I was planning on putting on two coats of the TW Ceramic Spray and not apply a topper.
