I have a new to me RV. Someone cleaned it up pretty good before I bought it. I went to wax it with 925 fiberglass wax and noticed a couple areas where old product was left on. I’m no pro and need help on how to remove it. I have a DA and various pads. I’ve tried collinite fiberglass cleaner and a lite abrasive polish with no luck. More shine but no removal. I can’t even use my fingernail to scrape any off. Looking for suggestions for a novice. One section is 2x2 and others are palm size. Thank you

Have you tried washing really thoroughly with soapy water?

How about Glass Cleaner?

:)

One of the three will get it and still be safe:, mineral spirits, Rubbing alcohol, GOO_GONE…..

Or mix up some soapy water in a spray bottle - then spray an scrub with a terry cloth hand towel or wash cloth.

Most compounds are water soluble. The soap helps to emulsify the mess and adds some lubrication.

I found luck with Blackfire wax remover. Spray it on a few times and wipe off. Then cover with a damp towel for an hour to soften the old compound. Come back with another application of Blackfire wax remover and it usually starts to break up.

May have to repeat these steps a few times.

I have also had to VERY CAREFULLY spray with water and use a plastic razor blade.
