I believe that definition was started by a forum member due to my hood shot reflection content.


I like to put palm trees in the hood shots. A hood shot with a palm tree reflection became known as the Merlin shot.

Repainted my honda clear coat. 5 coats of clear, sanded with 1000 grit till it was fully leveled, follwed up with 2000 and 3000 grit, polished out.

Does it get much smoother?

This was a Cadillac hearse with severely swirled up paint to the point that it looked grey under the sun. The owner was absolutely convinced that the car needed to be repainted. 26 hours later he thought otherwise.
