Hey guys my name is Devin, I just joined the forums. Long time reader, first time poster :P super excited to get involved with the community and really looking forward to getting to know everyone and expand my knowledge!
I've been detailing for a few years and I'm still learning tons every day :] Definitely excited to show you all what I have going on and would love to help share my knowledge! Besides detailing, I have a passion for graphic design and do all my own design/ marketing/ advertising, so if anyone ever needs help just shoot me a message!
Check out my stuff and tell me what you all think of my work thus far :] Will be posting lots in the next few days!!

Wow, just watched your CTS-V videos. Your results are phenomenal, like you said its a pure mirror. You have skill, teach me some things!

Welcome to AGO!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes, it's pretty cool to see some of your names here and I'm definitely looking forward to learning a lot from you all!
Just wondering how many of you are mobile and how many of you are in a shop?

Thanks a lot GreatAvalon :D I try pretty hard to have my paint correction down to a science. I just spend the correct amount of time polishing like everyone should and only use the best of what I can find!
My current set-up is my Flex 3401 w/ Lake Country Pads and all Menzerna polishes and compounds. Im trying out some OPT stuff that will be arriving here in AZ on Friday! :hungry:

Looking forward to posting my experiences with it!
Any of you have experience with ONR? What are your opinions?

Neither! I'm an enthusiast with OCD lol!

Amazing work on that CTS-V :props:

Which LC Pads did you use? ONR is great stuff, best bang for the buck imo...

Thanks a bunch 28ONE :thankyousign:
I started with a wool cutting pad for the few heavy scratches i found & FG400.

For my first pass, I used the LC CCS Orange Pad & Menzerna SI-1500. First pass took me almost 2 hours :p I did almost 8 section passes per panel & just wanted to make sure I knocked down as much of the damage and flatten the surface on the first go.

Second layer was done with the LC CCS Black Polishing Pad & Menzerna SF-4000. This layer didn't take nearly as long but I still put a lot of loving into it!

Finally I finished using CG Jetseal 109 (only until i get my new OPT stuff ;) ) and my older than dirt RED MPT pad from CG. Its a super soft wax/sealant pad, and I followed with CG 50/50 Concuors Wax applied by hand :D
Such a fun car to clean up!!!

^have you experienced any downsides to using the CCS pads w/ Menz DAT products? I have heard that CCS pads can introduce fresh polish mid-breakdown and cause the finish to be not as good as it could have potentially be. I bought Menz. stuff so I went w/ LC flat pads to be safe, but would love to hear your experience since you undoubtedly know what you are doing!

My apologies for the late reply I've been busy cleaning some cars :dblthumb2: I've never had my polish begin to degrade or at least that I have noticed. I will have to order a flat LC pad and do an experiment :] What I have noticed is it greatly helps with polishing time to achieve the desired result. From my experiences I've had significantly quicker results when using a super soft CCS pad, and from using NO pressure while performing my polish, only letting the machine and the product do its job.
I will however do some tests to see if there is any changes! Thanks for the input!

Welcome from Northern Arizona. It's snowing today.
