Thank for the input, pretty man with a moustach, I know, but i can't help associating you with him. Amazing the impact an avatar has on you. I envision Mike Phillips as a tan dude buffing out an awesome yellow street rod. See what I mean, wierd huh ? Take care.
Peace,
Darrin
Once again!! Thank you sir.mike!!
Guess I'm sticking to my hybrid/flex/fg400 combo. I'll probably just get the hybrid pad 6.5! Thanks again!!

I just want to share! Fg400,LC Hybrid Pad Orange 5in and Flex 3401! Pure one step correction/polish! Thank you Mr.Smack!!
Another goodie Mike. I'm loving this forum. So much priceless information.
I used this method and it worked very well. :xyxthumbs:
I used LC orange and white hybrid pads, Menzerna FG-400 and SF-3500 (aka SF-4000).
I did get some caking while applying the FG-400 to the second section. Perhaps that's because I applied two spritzes of the Pinnacle XMT pad conditioner?
Here's a pic of my wife's company car after the SF-3500. The car was in better shape to begin with than I had imagined. Sorry for the quality of the pic. My photography skills are not good.

What about hybrid pads now?
Doing it this way will get me through half of a hood, a fender, a door, or trunk lid depending on panel size. After I have completed polishing half of the hood or the fender with multiple section passes I will then clean my pad in a pad washer and spin them dry on my rotary and set it aside face down on a mf towel to dry and will grab a fresh dry pad and condition it for use for the next panel.
Mike what speed do you use on the rotary to spin dry? Also how long do you spin them before setting them aside?
Hey Mike, Did your photos disappear from page 1? Seems like something is missing from your original post.
This is a GREAT technique with sound principals. It works with other polishes as well. I used it when working with OPT hyperpolish (combo of Cyan or Orange pads) with good results.
Thanks Mike...this technique is a game changer.
Dang! Talk about excellent results! Nice save![]()
Bringing this back. Wondering if the video was ever made?
I am planning on buying 12 of the LC Hybrid pads, the LC 4" plate and already have the Menz products and 3401. Have a Pad Washer to wash pads. I noticed Orange pads for FG400 and White pads for SF4000. Are there any other pads you would suggest? I was thinking 5 Orange, 4 White and 3 others?. I have been doing just my own vehicles, but been having alot of interest lately, so I may start doing this part time.
Thanks for sharing this technique and process and your willingness to help and share your knowledge. I have a 2012 Ford Edge Sport that is black and just bought used and is in need of correction. Will post before and after pics.
Do you ever use the blue hybrid pad sir.Smack?
