You know you've been spending too much time working on / researching / thinking about detailing stuff when...

A coworker sends you this picture, and you think, "Wow that thing looks so soft. I bet he'd make a great wash mitt.":autowash:

.....Got any similar experiences?

Every single time at the pump: "I could have bought ___ with that."

What about when you're in the shower and you got soap on you and you let it dwell for a couple of minutes. LOL

I actually coated my waterproof pebble watch with a glass coating and tested it against the types of soaps i have in my shower for durability tests. True story

I just started and it's already so addicting! I seriously cannot stop researching and reading on products/techniques/tips/tricks etc.

I'm tempted to coat my iPhone :buffing:

When you check your post count and realize your at 5,000+ posts

Every city you go to. You check on Yelp for local detail supply stores.

Every song you hear you think of how it would sound in your next video and what song would go with what type of detail job/video

When I look at a brand new vehicle and it's swirled or whatever it drives me f'in nuts.:buffing:

I cant stop seeing swirls in anything and everything.

I see cars with defects and start imagining how I'd fix them

I always think about all the swirls and how I would fix it. Then try to imagine the car in perfect condition. Other things that drive me insane is dirty wheels, brown tires, and faded trim.

Every single car I walk by in the grocery store parking lot and the first thing I look for is swirling.

Same goes for me.

When I look at a brand new vehicle and it's swirled or whatever it drives me f'in nuts.:buffing:

YES! Especially if the person inside is looking at you all hard and you know you are the better person because you do not have swirls in your car, he do!

I would say another one for me is the awkward moment trying to explain to the employee at Lowes why I'm looking specifically for a red 5 gallon bucket because the other available colors are already dedicated to something else (HD orange = dirty towels, blue = water buckets to keep the hose from hitting the car, white = rinse, grey = wash but it looks just like the white in the shade so I go for the wrong bucket...)

So if anyone knows of a physical retailer (gotta check grit guard fitment) that sells either a red or green 5-gallon...

If you're lucky enough to have a Firehouse Subs near you, they sell their pickle buckets for like $1. When I got mine they were red so don't see why that would change.
