Placed an order on Saturday, I live only live a couple of hours drive from the geeks. I usually get my order next day.

This time I got an email two days later telling me that Megs 105 is back ordered... really? Thought that this was a popular product, one that sells that the shelves should stay stocked.

Tried calling the geek on Wednesday at 9:30am. The message states to call back between 9:am and 4:pm (during normal business hours). ###, I left a message and still no return calls. It is this type of practice that sends customers looking elsewhere for service.

Our phones don't turn on until 10 am on Wednesdays, so we'll have to get that checked if the message is saying 9 am.

Regarding your order, send me a PM with your order number. I'm sure Mike Phillips has some 105 in his personal stash that he wouldn't mind sending you. ;) We'll at least send enough to hold you over until the 128 oz. is in stock.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but rest assured we'll take care of you.

Look at that. Great customer service.

I would say if that doesn't say customer satisfaction nothing does wow and wow. Unheard of this day in age. I used to get my stuff from a distributer north of the border simply because of logistics shipping etc. But you guys just made a new customer here. I don't care when you open on Wednesday. Wow.

I'm actually surprised that Mike didn't hand deliver it because that is how helpful he is. I am always amazed to see how helpful and involved he is with this community considering his standing and reputation among the elite not to mention he is a TV personality too. I don't know how he fits it all into a day.

AG always takes care of its customers!!!

There's a small saying I stand by,
Don't make your procrastination, someone else's emergency!
I just got my order today and one product is on back order, to me it's no big deal, I can wait. Why come here and act like they did something wrong.
To say they have to keep certain products in stock is ludacris! They've had two big sales in the last 3 weeks and maybe someone bought it all, maybe Meguiars had a bad batch and so it ran out.
Thanks to Nick and Mike for taking care of the customer.
Sometimes people amaze me, there are 6 Billion people in the world, it doesn't revolve around you. There are people eating dirt in other countries and your worried about compound!
I'M OUT!!!!

I finally did get a hold of customer service this morning and yes, she was very helpful and is sending out some megs 105 immediately till they ship my final order. Thank you AutoGeek, you're amazing.

Really now!

To anyone new here, if you read this please know that Autogeek's Customer Service is one of the best.
Not sure why someone would come on an open forum and pretty much attack a company over one item, we as members can't help you, but they can.
I can assure you if you would have just taken a deep breath and waited a bit someone would have made it good, as a Mike did.

Mike really went out of his way, I never heard of any other company that would send a customer some of their product until they can get their order.

Way to go Autogeek:)

Oh, one more thing, there's such a thing as back orders, m105 is very popular, I'm sure Autogeek didn't want to run out of it, could it be it was out of their control?

:iagree:I also don't understand why they feel compelled to air it on the forum. I've had nothing but excellent service over the past two years, never one back order and I've placed a lot of orders. OH well, I'm done too.

Just handed Nick a mostly full 32 ounce bottle of M105

That should get you through your current project and then some...

Hi.

I would like a duel sawed-off shotgun wielding, hockey mask wearing, flame spitting dragon, with a giant samurai sword strapped to its side, straddling on a ballistic nuclear sub.

Do you have one in stock, and could you get it here by Friday?

Would it be too much to ask for a free wheel brush with this order?

Oh, and paper please.

Thanks.

I have only placed one order and honestly it will probably be my only one with PBMG. I didn't voice my problem here nor will I, I am not looking for anything. I work in a customer service based business as well and understand you can't please everyone. If you look at it from the OP perspective who is to say he didn't need this for a job at the end of the week? With all the employees AG has, is it that hard for someone to keep up with stuff that's out of stock and put that info up on the site when it happens or at least email the customer promptly and let them know?

I'm glad the situation was resolved for this customer, mine was resolved somewhat satisfactorily as well. I do not want anyone contacting me about this please. I am still glad to be part of what seems like a great community of knowledge here on the forum and do not want to generate anything to end that. Just providing what I feel was the OP feelings on the subject.

I don't get it. When was the last time you ordered something online or over the phone and when it was not available. Some was made available out of an employees private stock. Now I'm new here but name me another company large or small that you have personally had this situation happen. Cousins brothers neighbours two streets over doesn't count. I think they went over and above and I might also point out how quickly it all transpired. Haters keep hating I guess dunno

I think ppl should be allowed to air their frustrations without being attacked. I think the op had a valid complaint

No gallons of 105?!?!? C'mon man!!

I will admit, I too had a run in with out of stock products on two occasions. I wasn't in a hurry but the notification that it was OOS was like a dor, if not two later. The first one was on 1L bottles of Rupes chemicals, after a few days 2 500ml bottles showed up instead. The other was on foamed wool pads. Ordered, two days, no shipping info then I got an email offering to swap to the LC hybrid foamed wool pads which were about $20 more for free. Yeah, ok, twist my arm.
I wasn't in a hurry, just taking advantage of a sale, if you were in a hurry, most places carry 105 on the shelf. Sorry its your last order, your going to miss out on some great stuff!

We all have choices when we make buying decisions. No company is perfect. I recently had an issue with a very large exhaust company that has been in business for 40 years in regard to an oversite on their design or manufacture. Yes, I was pissed, but once I got through to them, they tried to make good on it.

Its the companies that disregard their customers, do not stand behind their products, or have no customer service we should be avoiding and talking about.

AG is not one of them. Great customer service and stand behind their products. I can also add Meguiars to that list as well.
