Sick to Stomach

Three things I can't stand while shopping:

1. People who double park
2. People who get in the express lane with a full buggy
3. People who leave their buggies in the middle of the parking lot instead of putting them in the buggy area.

Rant over.

Is a "buggy" a shopping cart???

Unfortunately, this has happened to all of us. Knowing this doesn't help but it shows you how many AH's there are in the world...It's a shame when this happens...

Sorry to hear about the door dings...

I feel bad for people in general that work hard and just want to own a nice car and keep it in good shape but can't because of the fallen state of the general public.

Something similar just happened to my daughter-in-law with her brand new Camaro, she now has a door ding in a fender.

This and other reasons is why I went up. I'll never own another car for myself. Just a goold old Chevy truck.

:dunno:

I learned a long time ago that it isn't worth the aggravation to be overly anal about my daily driver car. Driving 100 miles per day there is no way I am going to keep it looking great. Now my weekend/evening car is something different. People just have no respect for anything anymore.

that is why my nice car only get 1-2k miles a year, and those miles are for car events only where people are as anal as me... knock on wood 2007 20k miles and no dings.. and it doesn't get parked at a store lot etc.

DD, yes dings, scratches, etc.. still pisses me off

My truck is 16 years old and the only body issues I have are from the same. In both cases, they scraped the quarter panel as they were coming in or out and left. Such jerks.

I know the feeling, and disgust all too well.

I had such happen to my mint 1968 SS396 Camaro, taking the vehicle to Chicago's Chinatown one afternoon for an early dinner.

There was not one mark anywhere on the body of that vehicle, the body was perfect. I parked the car right in front of the restaurant, was keeping an eye on it all the while, and did see somebody pull up next to it, double parking, my Camaro was in a legal parking spot.

Sure enough, when I came out, there was not one, but two dents in the driver's door, with some nasty paint chips as well. Sure, when they got out they hit my door, and when that same person got back in their car to leave they left another sizeable dent-paint chip.

To say I wanted to blow somebody's brains out at that moment was a gross understatement. Had it happen to a brand spankin new 1986 Trans Am HO as well, parking a literal block away in a parking lot, and walking, only to come back and find some rotten idiot with a junker parked 6" off my driver's door. I walked around that car with key in hand, carved up every body panel on that car, but fear it did little good, the owner probably didn't care a shred I bet.

Chicago truly is a "wonderful" place to own a nice vehicle! (Not!)

Here's my story: When I bought my GP it had one small dent over the driver rear wheel well. So I get hit by a deer. My body guy fixes the dent so now the car is pristine. For awhile. I park for a sales meeting. No place to park away from everyone. You got it: I come out to my car and somebody hit me in the SAME spot! I even parked at the end and gave them more room. GGGRRRRRRR!

It's hard to have something nice anymore without someone messing it up.
Once while sitting in my car, a very overweight woman decided to sit on my fender while she talked to her friend. I wasn't very nice to her, obviously.
I'm not sure who raised these people but it is quite annoying.

Back in the olden days, before keyless entry, a boss at work once told me to keep a handful of toothpicks in my glovebox. That when somebody carelessly did this sort of crime to your vehicle, get out with toothpicks in hand, shove them into the door locks one by one, and snap them off flush! LOL

Never did it, but always sounded like a great "payback". Today with keyless entry on most modern vehicles, I doubt many even stick a key in a door lock anymore.

Another comical incident years ago (yeah now, but not at the time) was I and my father having so many vehicles, I was forced to rent a garage for my 1967 Stingray.

The woman who I rented the garage from parked her "Pee Wee Herman" bike with the huge Balloon tires up against the overhead door in front of my Stingray. When I went to open the door, you guessed it, the bike fell on the front nose of the car, and luckily only put two small BB sized chips in the paint, which I course did touch up (that was all I could do).

I cannot tell you what I did to her bike that morning, a sure heck of a lot of horrid expletitives for sure, and trust there were very little in the way of wheels spokes left on that Bike when I got through! LOL

If you drive a DD, there is no fool proof way of not getting dinged, hit etc. This is why I laugh at the phrase "show car finish" on a daily driven car, its just not going to happen.

Where Im from, if you double park, your asking for it and 9/10 you will get it. Its just reality. I just park as far from other cars as I can, or park next to nice looking cars that look somewhat like the owners give a damn about their car. No major issues so far. Knock on wood.

You forgot
4. parents who let their kids run wild
5. Old people who drive like it was a golf cart.
6. Morons with loud music and windows down

And my favourite!

Sunday drivers who drive soooo slow and park in 2 spaces!!!

Im sorry to hear that. I hate discovering dents in my truck. It seems like every time i wash it i discover a new one. Its like some rogue gremlin throws decent sized rocks at my truck if i go to long with out washing it. So far i have 4 of these little dents.

I had some guy who parked next to me and scratched my passanger window as I had a parking space and he didn't as he was late for work.

I spoke to the guy in the paper shop and he told me his car got same and it was exactly the same blue Honda civic!

All I can say is thank god for concentrated washing up liquid as I covered his windows until he moved to another car park.

After he moved the guy was sitting at the next table bitching about how he was late home as someone kept dropping washing up liquid on his car. He also told his friends he scratched windows to poss off people who parked where he wanted too!

The sad looser is about 60 years old!! So I don't blame the youth, I blame the parents!

Btw, I changed job and demanded a parking space as part of my contract!
