Driver Learns the Hard Way

I'm willing to bet those windows were not down when the the fire department got there......:laughing:
 
Good!! There should be more cases like these, i see it happening all the time.
 
Could they have not ran the hose underneath the car?
I know it mentioned the hose has the have a straight path for enough pressure but still.
Doesn't make it ok to park illegally though.

They probably could have. They could of even probably ran it around the car to make sure not to touch his paint. :laughing:
 
Wow! I know the BMW is way wrong, but couldn't they just passed the hose under or around the car?

Then applied some kind of infraction for him to pay for parking illegally, putting public security in danger, etc..

I know any life is way more important than those BMW windows, but looks they done this way to 'teach the guy a lesson'.

I don't know what to think, but I'm sure they used this to serve as an example for the rest of people.

By the way, I support firefighters 100% for doing what they thought right on that situation,

No sympathy at all for the BMW driver, he got exactly what he deserved.

Not sure if it made much national news, but two Boston firefighters lost their lives two weeks ago in a similar fire. Last thing these guys need to worry about is fishing a hose underneath a car while trying their best not to scratch the paint.

I was also told that when this happens sometimes they connect two hoses inside the car.......and you know the connections are never watertight.......:dblthumb2:
 
The car is low enough the they would have a hard time passing the metal ends underneath the car and that would take a few extra seconds (which is a lot for a fire). The guy clearly can't park straight either. Would have been nice to see a small pin hole in the hose and the car filled up with water :p
 
The guy/girl got what he deserved. Any idiot parking in front of a Fire Hydrant is just an arrogant az z who cares only about one thing...him/her self. I have no sympathy for stupid.

Owner deserved it..

If my house was on fire and i found out that a car slowed the fire department significantly, i'd go to that car with something i find and break all the windows, break the headlights/taillights, pop his tires, AND steal the wheels LOL. Come at me bro!

A $100 ticket, and a few hundred maybe thousand in damage if the hose leaked. Guy got off cheap, but I bet he won't do that again. Sometimes being taught a lesson isn't cheap.
 
Yeah pretty sure he got towed too. So that plus impound fees is gonna add even more salt to his wounds.
 
Sure the person should not have parked there. Perhaps they are not the type of person that does this normally but had a bad day and did not realize. Wishing the worst on their vehicle for a mistake is simply ridiculous.
