NOTE: I haven't actually used any of the products yet, I bought them last night and will be testing them out this week. Meg imho hit the nail on the head here, at least in theory.

First off, the product line's small and simple. As much as I love the Chemical Guys, they have a lot of overlapping products. It's pretty confusing for a noob to know weather they should get Glassworkz or Signature Glass cleaner. Why do they even offer 2 glass cleaners? And umhm, soaps? damn why do they have like 8 different ones! This isn't just with CG, there are plenty of other companies that have too many products that are overly similar. Also there's no confusing "what the hell does this product even do?" ones here. Even after watching a whole YT video about it, I'm still trying to figure out what exactly AmmoNYC's Hydrate actually does and why do I need it lol. Everything in the DUB line's something I know and will use. Props to Meg for releasing a streamlined and non confusing product line. All imho that's missing is a glass cleaner.

Secondly, I bought them at Wally World, availabilities a big plus for me. When I'm out of something and have a detail job it's nice to be able to run up the street and buy it. Not order it on here and wait a week for shipping. Nothing against AG, I live in Cali and unless I wanna pay $$$ for fast shipping waiting's just the game.

The price point of these are extremely good. If I was to buy all the same competing products from Auto Finesse, CarPro, DP or a similar company it would cost me somewhere around $70-100 shipped. I went to Wally World last night and paid $38 for 5 products. The line has 6, but I didn't see the rim polish. Now assuming these products are up to Meg standards they're a killer deal. I did email Meg about if they had any plants to release them in 1 gallon detailer size in the future.

Packaging - Doesn't matter a lick if the product sucks, but imho a good product that's packaged nicely is a plus for detailers. A cheap looking bottle with what looks like a home made label you printed on your printer might turn some potential clients off even if the product rocks. Meg nailed the packaging here. The bottles and labels make it look like they're professional products. The bling factor here is in effect.

Another thing they nailed was the flavors errr scents lol. The exception being the "Pina Caliente" wheel cleaner. This is their Iron X like offering, I haven't smelled Iron X, but every mention of it's smell I see say it's baaaaaaad. Caliente's Spanish for hot and Pina's Pineapple. When I smelled it, all I can say is was it smelled like Pineapple mixed with something god awful. After whiffing it *in doors mind you* my nose started to burn, it's strong and horrible. I heard Meg masked the foulness here a bit, if this is true I NEVER want to smell Iron X. The name Pina Caliente sounds interesting, I probably wouldn't buy a product that was labeled as "Hot Pineapple" scented though lol.

Will update thread in a few days once I've used the products and can compare them to other stuff I have in my arsenal.

I actually picked up the line last night. Will try the QD out tonight.

Way cool! I just bought the DUB wheel cleaner this morning at Wally World. It was $8.97. I ran out of the Sonax Wheel Cleaner which is $16. I am going to try that out. quebert and JSou I will give you my thoughts on the wheel cleaner soon. I am hoping you guys can give me your comments on the QD and Spray Wax soon. But I think Megs may have hit a home run. I am hoping the quality of DUB's is up to Megs standards

I agree with the home run, I don't expect the line to measure up to Pinnacle Black Label or something high end. But for the price it will probably exceed my expectations. And might work out to be my go to line for the majority of my detailing jobs, which are low to mid level.

IronX and DUB Wheel Cleaner both smell pretty bad. I still like using D143, however DUB wheel cleaner can be used on all wheels. So that's a plus, but maybe not plasti dipped wheels.

If they had a gallon size of this then that would be a great choice to add to ones arsenal. For really dirty wheels or for wheels that would not be safe with D143.

I guess if we keep asking for it then Meguiar's might come out with a gallon size, but who knows. If they made a concentrate version (not sure how, I'm sure their chemist could figure it out) Then that would be a huge plus, plus.

I bought some about a month ago but still haven't gotten to use it yet. My wheels are to clean to be used effectively for a video. I do have a car that I am going to be making a video with and will be using Meg's DUB line for the wheels. So stay tuned everyone. :props:

Funny you mention this, I just Plasti-Dipp'ed my rims last week. I almost want to take it off just so I can try out the wheel cleaner. I see no reason why it would work with Plasti-Dip. I suppose I could try just to see what happens though.

Well I tend to always call the manufacturer to ask advice before proceeding with products.

So I called Meguiars for there DUB line wheel cleaner.

From what I remember, (man I need to start taking notes of my calls lol)

Well they said it was virtually safe on any surface, but they always encourage test spots when in doubt.

As for Plasti Dip, I don't recall them answering with a definite yes or no. If they're plasti dipped then just regular soap and water would probably be a better choice.

Is it safe to use on paint like Iron X? I can't find that info anywhere?

I tried the wheel cleaner out as a stand-in for Iron-X, to remove iron from the paint of my sister's Toyota. I have no idea if it worked as well as Iron-X would (I don't currently have any Iron-X to compare), but it did pull some iron out of the paint, with no ill effects to the finish.

How do u kno it pulled iron out? Did it make the color runs like IronX does?

Yes, the DUB cleaner is a color-changing product like Iron-X, and it did change color on the Toyota to indicate the extraction of iron particles.

That I do not know and just give them a call and let us know what they say :props:

Hummm, that makes too much sense. I called asked about using it on paint and was given the standard "that's not what the product was designed for" answer I expected. But he did say the product was PH neutral and his only real concern would be the trim and any plastic. And if I want to try it on my body to test it in a small area. I'm not sure what to look for, I mean I know what to look for somewhat, but I'm not sure if there could possibly be a bad side effect that's not visibly noticeable.

The fact it's PH neutral means I'll probably give it a shot on a super small part of my body. This could turn out to be an Iron X replacement for much cheaper, I'm all for that. And I will say this about their customer support, I called and withing maybe 10 seconds of pressing 1 was speaking to a very helpful & knowledgeable guy. Unless this was dumb luck, Meguiars has some impressive CS.

Meguiar's is one of the last companies with CS that is actually in America.

They have 70+ CS Professionals in their Irvine, CA offices.

Two of their new CS employees Ben and Bernard, were in the Car Care Clinic last weekend. They had been with Meguiar's for a couple of weeks and were still in the training process. I think that speaks volumes.

looks like a good product for a awesome value. Hope it made its way to wally world here on Maui, I haven't been there in a while to look. Maybe we can make a petition so megs can start making a gallon size.

Does Meguiar's make a gallon size of any of their OTC products?

I can't think of anything OTC than comes in a gallon size. Wal-Mart is probably not going to carry multiple sizes of the same product and they would cut into their margins by offering larger sizes at a discount.

A more likely next step would be to launch a version in the Detailers Line under a different "Non-Dub" label

Agreed but if it works the same then I dont care what they call it. I would not expect it to be sold at walmart, more like AG or anywhere else a person like all of us here would be able to order it. I dont mind going in there and buying say 10 bottles of the stuff if it works. Makes it easier for me because I live in hawaii so everything is inflated due to shipping costs. Not to mention the extra time it takes to get here. Unless I 2 or 3 day it, then the price really goes up. If i could order a gallon size it would make my life a whole lot easier.

If it works as well as Sonax FE, it's a great value.

Even in a 5 Litre size...Sonax FE is $.69 per oz

Dub Wheel Cleaner is $.40 per oz
