NOTE: I haven't actually used any of the products yet, I bought them last night and will be testing them out this week. Meg imho hit the nail on the head here, at least in theory.
First off, the product line's small and simple. As much as I love the Chemical Guys, they have a lot of overlapping products. It's pretty confusing for a noob to know weather they should get Glassworkz or Signature Glass cleaner. Why do they even offer 2 glass cleaners? And umhm, soaps? damn why do they have like 8 different ones! This isn't just with CG, there are plenty of other companies that have too many products that are overly similar. Also there's no confusing "what the hell does this product even do?" ones here. Even after watching a whole YT video about it, I'm still trying to figure out what exactly AmmoNYC's Hydrate actually does and why do I need it lol. Everything in the DUB line's something I know and will use. Props to Meg for releasing a streamlined and non confusing product line. All imho that's missing is a glass cleaner.
Secondly, I bought them at Wally World, availabilities a big plus for me. When I'm out of something and have a detail job it's nice to be able to run up the street and buy it. Not order it on here and wait a week for shipping. Nothing against AG, I live in Cali and unless I wanna pay $$$ for fast shipping waiting's just the game.
The price point of these are extremely good. If I was to buy all the same competing products from Auto Finesse, CarPro, DP or a similar company it would cost me somewhere around $70-100 shipped. I went to Wally World last night and paid $38 for 5 products. The line has 6, but I didn't see the rim polish. Now assuming these products are up to Meg standards they're a killer deal. I did email Meg about if they had any plants to release them in 1 gallon detailer size in the future.
Packaging - Doesn't matter a lick if the product sucks, but imho a good product that's packaged nicely is a plus for detailers. A cheap looking bottle with what looks like a home made label you printed on your printer might turn some potential clients off even if the product rocks. Meg nailed the packaging here. The bottles and labels make it look like they're professional products. The bling factor here is in effect.
Another thing they nailed was the flavors errr scents lol. The exception being the "Pina Caliente" wheel cleaner. This is their Iron X like offering, I haven't smelled Iron X, but every mention of it's smell I see say it's baaaaaaad. Caliente's Spanish for hot and Pina's Pineapple. When I smelled it, all I can say is was it smelled like Pineapple mixed with something god awful. After whiffing it *in doors mind you* my nose started to burn, it's strong and horrible. I heard Meg masked the foulness here a bit, if this is true I NEVER want to smell Iron X. The name Pina Caliente sounds interesting, I probably wouldn't buy a product that was labeled as "Hot Pineapple" scented though lol.
Will update thread in a few days once I've used the products and can compare them to other stuff I have in my arsenal.
