Why are WOWA Sealants not popular?

I don't get it why products like Opti Seal, UPGP, Black Fire Crystal Seal and Zaino CS are not more popular amongst detailers. They are easy to use and we can argue that they cause less damage to the paint considering you remove once step out of the process (Buffing). They look good and some like Opti Seal are from pioneers like Dr. G who helped invent the clear coat. They may not last as long as traditional sealant but it is so easy to top up every month or two. Isn't it better to top up every two months instead of hoping that your traditional sealant lasts 6 months.

I've yet to use Opti Seal. It is on my to do/try list however.

I wonder how it looks on the gloss side, compared to an actual sealant and carnuba.

I use WG Deep Gloss Liquid Seal. Has a nice depth to it for a sealant.

There's also a WOWA coating from DG with a deep gloss look. Insanely easy to apply. Claim is two years duration. Hydro2 surely raises the bar as well and was what I consider a candidate for 2013 product of the year.

If selling a WOWA service professionally. Which one has more bang for the buck. Meaning how many vehicles per se can you do with each one of these bottles? Can't find how many 100ml CarPro Hydro 2 does, but it says Opti Seal does from

Opti Seal
"This value is unbeatable! Think about the cost per ounce ratio of Opti-Seal. What other paint sealant treats 40 vehicles with just 8 ounces?! Professional detailers and anyone who wants long-lasting results will love Optimum Opti-Seal."

CarPro Hydro2 seems to cover a lot of areas on the car, but what is throwing me off is how many uses can you get out of it?

CarPro Hydro2

"Simply wash your car like you normally would and while its still wet, spray Hydro2 over every surface including paint, wheels, chrome, convertible tops, and glass, and simply rinse it off."

WOWA products have really sparked my interest and want to try one, but still not sure which one would be a better choice as far how many uses I can get out of the bottle in the price range listed above.

What is the DG WOWA called?

If time is money....hydro2 is money. wowa products can't get to places your hand can't. Hydro2 covers any part of the car that you can spray and rinse. Think about it.

Yeah that's why I said that CarPro Hydro2 covers a lot of area, so I have been really interested in this.

CarPro Hydro2 Touchless Silica Sealant 1 Liter
$119.99 is a good amount of money

so that is why I was wondering how much can the 100ml version cover vs the 1 liter version of CarPro Hydro2. I am trying to explain this as best as possible via the web lol. So sorry and bare with me.

I guess tomorrow I can just call customer service. :D

Thank you and if anything I'll report back. :)

With Hydro2 you diluted Hydro2 1 part concentrate to 3 parts water into a spray bottle. So it would not be too many cars. I use WOWA sealants all the time mainly in the door jambs, under the hood, roof and trunk rain gutters. Perfect use for them.

can we please talk about WOWA sealants instead of Hydro2? I am keen on Opti Seal, UPGP and Zaino CS.

I would be curious what the forum answer is to your original post as well. It was recommended to me to try a WOWA sealant for how quickly it can be applied and allowed to flash and I ended up going with the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal. It seems to work nicely but I'm not overly wowed with the final look of it. Perhaps this is the issue? It is solid, don't get me wrong, especially on my wife's red CX5, but I think its kind of dull on my black Honda Civic. It is very hard for me to trust its durability as well, probably because it is so easy that it almost makes you feel like something HAS to be wrong with it, or that it wouldn't last. Too good to be true?

Having not tried a traditional sealant yet (I have Menzerna Power Lock on the way), I'm not certain what the difference between a WOWA sealant and a traditional sealant is as far as looks/durability until I try and compare them. Obviously, it won't be WOWA with the Power Lock so that is a drawback that the Wolfgang Liquid Seal doesn't have.

can we please talk about WOWA sealants instead of Hydro2?
Sure...Fine by me!

To address your thread starter's question:
•I have no idea why WOWA Sealants' popularity status appears to be rather low on the Totem Pole with either: Enthusiasts, Hobbyists, Professionals, or the
Joe/Jane Lunchbucket driveway-detailers.

As such:
•Perhaps a more aggressive marketing strategy should be employed by those that have ownership in/of these particular type of LSPs?

I am keen on Opti Seal, UPGP and Zaino CS.
•I've never used Zaino CS

•I find Opti-Seal to be more aesthetically satisfying when used in conjunction with Optimum Poli-Seal.

•For an extremely high level of car paint-slickness...
look no further than UPGP:
Even the neighbor's cat won't be able to walk on it!!

What about Sonax Polymer Netshield? I know that it last a good deal longer than some of the others and it beads and sheets similar to a full on coating such as Opti Coat or GTechniq.
We have it on my friends 911. It had a layer of dust from someone cleaning a mower. I took the pressure washer and just rinsed it and Tada! Good as new.
I do have Opti-Seal and it works great as well and it is one of those items like a standard wax, where you could in actuality every other wash (assuming a regular two week rotation), put another coat on it, because it is easy to apply.

What is the DG WOWA called?

Duragloss Nanoglass Ceramic Coating. The Enviroshield kit includes it, Squeaky Clean, 2 applicators and a mf towel. Total price, just under $50.00. Not placing a large order from AG, no problem, just order directly from DG.

Really? I thought tons here used those product. Go back and read reviews or the threads on liquid Seal, Crystal Seal, etc...there tons of threads, users and posts. Heck I've written two reviews on WOWA products, just have to search for the users. They've been out so long they're not the "hot" hot thing, but they're great.

And to all the Hydro2 people, not everyone can wash their car with a hose or pressure washer, so that product is useless to a lot of folks who live in water restriction areas like me.

Opti-Seal never gave me the durability I was looking for, never got more than a month out of it

One very nice benefit of these WOWA products is that there is no residue/buildup left behind in the panel gaps or emblems.

Opti-Seal never gave me the durability I was looking for, never got more than a month out of it

Same here with old version. I don't expect much more with the new version.

I didn't buy it to look good. I wanted ease of use and longevity.

The reality is with old/new version...use it more often. That's the selling point to me...use it often taking little time to apply.

My problem was that longvity reports for the old version made my expectations too high, so I expected several months out it without re-applying it. That was really user error on my part.

So what can you get out of Opti Seal, 2 months?
Is the durability low because it's a WOWA? Opti coat is also WOWA but it is arguably the best protection for car paint today.
