What is Gtechniq?

I've been hearing a few things and I'm totally lost as to what this product/line up actually does.

Does anybody here use it? If so, what exactly does it do and on what type of cars should it be applied on?

They offer coatings, polishes and car washes. Standard detailing stuff. They have a line of coatings, people enjoy the long term protection provided. They have a website. Check it out.

I did check their website, it looks like some overrated product, but I'm probably wrong...

There's probably plenty of car-care products/product lines that are not only overrated (not saying GTechniq is)...but may also have their own websites.

IMHO...The bottom line is:

I recently purchased and used the I1 from them and it so far has worked well, the price and smell was super powered though. I would consider other products from them in the future
 
I used GTechniq C1 and EXOV2 on my Lexus and I continue to be impressed with it. Impressed enough to contact them about becoming a preferred installer.

After I finish up my current stock of CquartzUK I'm seriously considering switching to C1\EXOv2.
 
I have their Gtechniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass on all my windows...I might as well remove my wipers..

it is a fantastic product
 
I have been thoroughly pleased with most Gtechniq products. I have G1 on my windows, and it's been there for over 1 year. Still works well. I have C1/EXO2 on my paint, and it's been there for over 1 year now. It is holding up, but not that well at this point (have to use C1.5 or Reload to maintain it). I was less than thrilled with C4 and C5, but that may have been the rough Chicago winter that really diminished the longevity. the fabric and leather treatment have worked very nicely as well.

I'm doing an all-out detail and correction on my car this weekend and using 22PLE (variety is the spice of life), but could have just as easily redone C1/EXO2.

or
C5 Wheel Armour at $54.95 for 30 ML...

I'll admit it though, I'll probably end up trying it for myself sooner or later.

These are coating for glass and wheels. Most coating run that price and you will get a few vehicles out of each of those bottles.

falls in line with the market for coatings, and you get a couple applications from each bottle. Sometimes you have to dig deeper then just prices and a website.
 
I haven't used it, but 100 ML of G1 is a "big" bottle. I think I read that 1/2 a bottle of the 15 ML size will do a windshield. The 15 ML size is $17.99. That comparable to using Aquapel, which is $7.99 for one application.
 
I just finishec applying C1 and EXO. I did the clay bar and correction first. I rolled the car into the sun and see blotches on the hood. Apparently my halogens didn't pickup any light residue left behind. But I did use 3 towels to remove C1 and 2 for EXO as directed. I have applied a second coat of EXO thinking it would even out the blotches. Nada.
I am thinking I need better lighting to see the slightest coating residue.
Which led head light is best for hands free while I work?

I've discovered that for coatings, a more diffuse, wide source is better than a pinpoint source. I use two LED floods as well as a 1,000 watt halogen setup, and even with that I've missed some high-spots with CQuartzUK that I didn't see until I pulled the vehicles outside. I'm planning on hanging a few T8 fixtures to try to fix that problem.
