Review: DUB Wheel Cleaner

Question...what does this color change chemistry do to the driveway? Is washing it away a pita? TIA

I have not seen any staining left in my driveway on asphalt nor have heard anyone else complain about it. Rinses away easily

No staining on my end either 😃

Just tried a bottle, since Advance Auto has a sale on these. Great stuff! For the money it can't be beat, especially compared to Sonax FE. I'm gonna to buy these from now on and stock with the current sale.

It's a great comparison to the Sonax..however both bottles that i bought leaked heavily when spraying the product..talk about stained hands!!!!!

Has anybody in Canada been able to find a retailer that sells this?

I had one like that too, returned it after cleaning all 4 wheels for a new that didn't leak.

I always wear gloves for these kinds of products.

I too bought 2 bottles at Advanced Auto for the special 2 for $10. First one I picked up leaked on my shirt. Guy at the counter says they've had a few leakers. Anyway, no staining on driveway and cleaned my wheels great with a little help from my wheel brush.

I have no idea what "Dub" is, but to me the really odd thing is Megs seems to be offering/making this great product for someone/something called "Dub", but not producing an equivalent product for their own OTC or professional lines.

DUB is a car magazine
DUB is street slang for large (> 20 inch) wheels.

Using the AA Speed Perks coupons I have stocked up 5 gallons for about $100. About what I paid for 5L of SFE. I hit all the stores in my area

I think the spray head on these bottles is the weak point. It seems to squirt a blob of foam out and then liquid. And then the blob just runs right off the wheel. Watching that foam blob quickly roll off wheel made me think that it wasn't clinging, but the liquid clinged okay. So I poured a bottle of DUB into a ZEP bottle and turned the nozzle way down until it sprayed as fine a fan of product as I could without being too difficult to squeeze the trigger. I like using it this way better. No need for the foam, never used a foaming spray head with SFE either.

I have 1 gallon pump sprayer that is all plastic parts that I may try next. I think the wand would make it easy to coat the wheel barrels.

I agree, the sprayers suck! I use a 22 oz Griots wheel cleaner bottle for mine, masking tape that reads DUB.

Used this this week. I really like it. May go back and stock up :-)

You guys using non foaming sprayers and getting better results?
I've been using a non foaming sprayer after trying a foaming one, didn't care for it at all. The one I use now is a Griots 22 oz wheel cleaner bottle and sprayer actually, works great

I agree on the sprayer too. This type of sprayer comes on numerous products and all seem to leak. First thing I did after spraying it once was to move to a different bottle and sprayer. I couldn't find a foaming one that worked well with it either. Works just fine from a normal misting style sprayer.

DUB Wheel Cleaner also works great on stubborn rust spots on vinyl siding. Tried a number of different CLR type products that never worked. I would guess Iron-x and Sonax would work also.

Sorry for the poor video, I was up two stories on a ladder filming it and trying not to kill myself in the process.
