I would guess a true dual mode DA: fixed rotation or non-fixed for those who like their pads to stop spinning on edges

I guess that would "eliminate" the need for those people to have two machines lol.

They make a lot of big machines and all their auto polishers are electric. I'm going to guess a mini polisher 2" +/- and electric powered, which would be a first (ok, second if you could the art-polisher.)
