Ok, what do you guys do about sweeping snow off car and trying to not mar the paint.

Those snow brushes can't be good for the paint.

Any thoughts/tips to minimize marring short of parking in a garage?

I use one of those foam snow brushes. I dont like it either but its my daily driver that stays outside what else can you do. I don't apply any downward pressure I just pull it and if takes multiple pulls to get down to the bottom I figure at least whatever is moving over the paint isn't being ground in with my additional force. Kills me because I know there is lots road dirt and sand under that snow as I pull it off and I know I am adding scratches but like I said its daily driver in an area where it snows a lot.

:(

Please, its waaaaaaaaay too early for snow talk, LOL!

Sent from my SPH-M930 using AG Online

A paint coating or applying a couple layers of sealant with wax is a good start then invest into one of those foam brooms and when you have the time and if you're garage isn't begin used or not so cold outside then go to coin op spray the paintwork down and waterless/rinseless wash it then apply a spray wax or sealant as a result more easily to move the snow if it shall stick

I'm going to be trying one of these this winter:

Snow Joe Telescoping Snow Broom

I picked it up in my last AG order, in the kit along with one of those brass ice scrapers.

:iagree:
Foam broom is the best I know of.....
Not ready for snow yet

Is the foam broom sturdy enough to push off several inches of heavy, wet snow?

It makes me sad every year when I start seeing posts like this

I was peeved because it sprinkled for about 10 minutes here in SoCal

Hunker down Guys...hopefully, it won't be as bad as it was for you last year

I'll check out the foam brush. Sorry about the snow thread. It is getting cold here in CO already. I'm ready for it

It's actually snowing here in Edmonton today, but still warm enough that its pretty much melted when it hits the ground.

Calgary on the other hand I hear is even worse off today, and from what I heard they are getting accumulation (of snow).

This is waaaaay too early, even for up here!

Yep. Little bit of accumulation in Calgary right now. Nothing on the roads though.

I still use a brush... the type with feathered ends.

Pretty much impossible to avoid swirls in our climate. Little polish in the spring sorts it out though.

Snow talk already!!! Bleh!

He who talks about snow must volunteer to come north to shovel, and scrape
the darn white stuff for everyone.

If you can find the snow brushes with feathered ends buy 2-3 along with the foam brush.

You can wrap a microfiber towel around the foam brush bottom. It helps.

Go easy on using, anything to remove snow.

have you considered buying a heavy duty car cover? just a thought. we don't generally get enough snow for it to be an issue tbh

I don't brush anything off the paint. It blows off. :D I just use my glove to dust off the wiper nozzles and a normal brush on the windows.

snow talk already.. Up in canada here in alberta they are calling for 5cm of the wet stuff. Buddy went to start his backhoe today and it had about 2cm on it.lol
