High to all. I've been doing this for fifty years and they have been making car wax for as long as I can remember. I used to take a rotary buffer, some Turtle Wax, a bottle of water and make a completely worn out paint job look amazing. In low end store shelf products I've always thought theirs were at the top of the list. I used to joke with my friends and say that I could take a rusty piece of steel, some Turtle Wax, and make it shine.

The hardest part was wiping the polishcompound away. it was surprisingly easier to wipe off the i originally thought it would be.

And why? I dunno just wanted to do it.

Ok, glad to read the input, since the output looks improved.

However, it's not that 'OTC' (over the counter) products will not work, but when using professional grade products and techniques you're more likely to get the best result possible.

That said, it's time to switch the t-shirt for proper Microfiber towel and/or applicator. Time to get a DA, why not? and apply a cleaner wax (or still your OTC compound) if you like, getting more even and solid results than by hand?

I don't know, you showed you got talent even with 'home-based' solution, now it's time to do your research, meet what you're missing and start improving even more what you already know how to do.

6 pages are a huge achievement, hats-off for the mystery, but the answer may be a deception to many who followed. Nothing personal, please!

Kind Regards.
