Today we started moving into our new shop, very exciting. :dblthumb2:

We really needed more room, we now can have up to five cars in the shop at once.

New benefits includes ...

Cars can now be washed in the shop and out of the sun, floor drains.

More air, we now have two 80 gallon air tanks to meet our needs.

A paint correction and coating booth that is climate controlled.
Large filters with large fans to make sure the room is dust free.
Air hoses at every station.
Water supply in three areas.
Large area for parking in the front and rear of the building.

We have a ways to go, shelves need to be installed.
More supplies and tools on the way.

I'll be open for business tomorrow , rain or shine.

Few pictures..

We've only been in business a few months and out grew our first shop.

Wish us luck:dblthumb2:

Good luck, I hope to have a shop myself in next 5 years

Dang...cool beans!
It that a paint booth? Is that what you're using to control dust?

Yes it was a paint booth at one time being it was a body shop.
I paint some but it will be used mostly for coatings and paint corrections.
The lighting is awesome too.

I'll post more pictures of the shop later.
It has an office, break room/kitchen, water fountain, cooling fans that use both water and air to cool you off.

The booth is really cool, had the temp down today at 68 degrees.

Congrats, looks great. A lift would be nice:dblthumb2:

The car lift is all the way to the right, I'll take a picture of it tomorrow.
The shop is much bigger than what I'm showing here but this will be our work area for the most part.
Also have some heat lights that was used to cure paint, not sure if I have any use for them.
I'm sure they'd bring up the electric bill sky high.

Looks like a great area for some car shows in the back of the shop!!! Congrats man! Good for you

Hey, thanks for the idea about having car shows.
Why didn't I think of that?, oh yea, I'm broke now. Lol

Really though, great idea.
I could sponsor one this summer.

Congratulations! Fantastic new shop. Now we all wish we had one just like it. Indoor washing, a lift and a PAINT BOOTH.
You now officially have it all. With all the room out back you can just add on if you get too busy for this space.

Congrats to you Kevin! I envy people like you leaving behind the stability of a 9-5 to do what you love. Keep up the great work man.

Congratulations that looks like a pretty amazing find right there. Good luck and enjoy!

First off congrats on everything that is awesome
Second I have to ask where did you find the location, website or what?

Really great news there Kevin!:dblthumb2:

So you moved into a new shop for my birthday huh?

Nothing like seeing all your hard work paying you back. Before long you'll be sitting in that air conditioned office keeping up with accounts, bookings, customers, vendors, and the logistics of it all while watching your crew TCB. Yep, good ol' Elvis.... er Kevin.... TCB (takin' care of business). :D

Ahhh... but Kevin might argue that his old job as head engineer at Hilton had better, more stable, and certainly shorter hours. ;) I know for 18 years I ran my first business I thought any day that you didn't put in 12 hours something just had to be wrong. (Was 11 years before we took a REAL family vacation for more than a long weekend.) Wasn't uncommon to start at sunrise and pull back in the driveway before sunset (on early days). Can't remember the times when I'd run calls all day, come home for dinner and a 1~2 hour rest (hoping to get a nap in) and then leave at midnight to be in Tampa, or Miami, or DC the next morning for a Mercedes dealer trade. Drop the one I took, grab that new puppy and be back in Atlanta for a late lunch. Catch up on calls that day and hopefully get some (well deserved) sleep come nightfall.

Then when you're the boss you have to be the first one in, the last one out, and the ONLY one that carries the entire load.

Funny thing that..... even though the hours are longer, the load is heavier, and the days off are few and far between, the autonomy that comes with it, and the pride that you put into it..... is the REAL reward. :dblthumb2:

Loving that paint booth Kevin, that'll come in handy.

But brother.... having a couple lifts handy would be what I'd be absolutely IN FRIGGIN' LOVE with! :buffing:Wow... no more bending over... SIGN ME UP! :props:

Kevin, that is awesome!!! Looks like you're really goin for it. I'm envious of the shop, but at the same time love my mobile business and all that comes with it. Having a shop like that might cause me to change my mind though. Truly awesome! Have fun with it!!
