DG 521 vs. Meg UQD

Been reading the raves about DG 521 marine quick detailer performance. Sounds intriguing enough to buy. Question is how different is it than DP 4-1 or even Meg UQD which I happen to like.

Normally for light dusting QD, I'll use the 4-1 first then apply the UQD. Does a nice job --think the UQD is kind of underrated here, but the 521 low cost, stronger cleaner and slickness seems like a no brainer especially with Sparkie and Al-53 big kudos.

My DG arsenal is growing too thanks to Sparkie and Al-53, and I like it. Nice write-up you did. Thanks for sharing with us.
 
I just did not like UQD. I actually like Meg's consuer QD better, slicker and the look is better.

#521 is a great QD, that is very strong on cleaning power.
 
#521 is a nice product...I do not know if it will do as 4-1 as a waterless wash but will clean lite stuff ..I never used 4-1 so I can not comment on a comparison

But the best I can say is try 521 and you judge it...lol...I told Sparkie about it and well he is liking it...

Its a few steps above 921 ..and the anti static properties seem to work ..as I park in a truck yard and construction going on and dust every where..and when I drive off it blows off...it collects..but does not adhere...how long it will last I do not know....

the UQD was not my favorite product..I used it 3 times with more that 12 hours cure...it looked good ..but it was short lived....I may mix some AW with it and see what comes of it...lol......

So, I'm guessing one doesn't need to use a QD like UQD or FK425 after applying a 521/921 type product?

That is correct. #521 and #921 is a QD like FK and others, #521 has a strong cleaner. You can if you want top it with #951 for more slickness.
 
Are the marine DG offerings any different than Aquawax and qd'er product ??
 
To use your terms Killr, 521 appears to be a qd+++ with extra cleaning and slickness compared to AW etc. AW is merely a sealant and as Al-53 says, probably not wise to apply too often...

If it works as advertised, might be the best bang for buck out there.
