Hard to say, no pics which might "slightly" help us members.

Some info you left out, what did you wash it with, how soon after the coating, just to name two procedures, and variables.

Never used the Blackfire Coating, but have used the DP and Pinnacle Gold Label Coatings. Honestly, I didn't think much of either I mention that I have, and question whether these coatings are in the realm of Opti-Coat, Opti-Gloss, GT C1-EXO, and some others on the market.

I've done my testing this end with DP and Pinnacle, applied to little trinkets here and there around here, like cargo trailer fenders after a full correction, totally stripped, and little other projects, with painting items that sit outside 24/7 like Porch Coach Lights, etc, and these treated pieces didn't hold up a month.

I see them lasting no longer IMO than a bottle of Turtle Wax from WallyWorld. Others have their opinions, lasting 2 years and going strong, etc, but that has not been my findings.

Strip, polish, prep, apply some Colly 845 and be done with it.
I just did my crapbox Kia this morning with the 845. Looks great, and 5 hours later still looks dust free (even with gusty winds this afternoon), which is a revelation here in this dusty turd that I live in.

Sorry to diss some of the PBMG products, but felt what I bought was a waste of my money and products that were not ready for prime time.

Now CQ UK? That I like, it works.

You did an IPA wipe down? Whan about the Prep Spray that Blackfire sells for use with their coating?

That is where I think things are getting a little too anal, and OCD, that one didn't use this or that special prep, didn't have the little secret decoder ring on hand (Be Sure To Drink Your Ovaltine!) and all this rigamorole, in which I think a good-proper concentration of an IPA wipedown should be able to take care of any residues-oils left behind by any polish on the market.

I think this all is just a huge marketeering "suck-in", and a bunch of crappola, to look for a blame, or an excuse of why some products just don't plain out work right, period!

You want a good coating, strip the vehicle again, buy a small stryinge of Optimum Gloss Coat, follow directions, and ever look back. Give the Blackfire stuff away IMO.

I'm betting the OP did nothing wrong, but has problems which he shouldn't of had.

My daughter said it looks like some one put graffiti on the car only 3 panels. I will take few pics in a few minutes. I'm hoping I can it down with a scary wax and re-apply.

OMG... What is that? You can't blame that on the coating. It looks like it was applied with a piece of sand paper. Looks like scary wax.

This may sound crazy but I would def try the prep spray. I remember a story about someone using Carpro eraser wipe down for a different brand coating and the coating failed. Was determined that the cause was not using the proper prep for the particular coating. I rather not risk having something similar happen. So for Cquartz I use eraser, Pinnacle diamond paint coating I use there prep polish and for Black fire I use there prep spray. Just my .02

i remember applying the product to each panel when on the panel it was cloudy not clear and never really dried clear bu hazy, this such a disappointment, epic failure

How ironic. I applied Blackfire Crystal Coat to my 2015 Subaru Outback today with no issues at all. In fact, I was happily surprised how easy it was. There was a bit of a learning curve when I first started. By the time I finished with the roof, I had the process down. My prep included washing, blowing out excess water with Metro Sidekick, taping trim, clay polish, taped off needed areas, polished with Meguiar's D-300. I did, however, use Blackfire Crystal Coat paint prep before applying the coating. To apply the Crystal Coat, I used a LC coating applicator but used a square of CarPro microfiber suede over the applicator. After applying to each panel I let the coating flash then followed with a wipedown using a microfiber towel. The coating was still tacky and a had streaks. The tackiness and streaks cleared up as the coating continued to dry and cure. I did have very high humidity in Tulsa today. In fact, it was raining during part of my application step. So far, I am very pleased with Blackfire Crystal Coat. During application, I did have to keep reminding myself not to touch or do additional wiping on the completed areas.

I am sorry you had such a bad experience. I am not looking forward to applying Crystal Coat to our other 2015 Outback.

GTechniq tells you not to use panel wipe for other manufacturers coatings. They said different manufacturers use different chemical compositions to work best with their products. True??? Hard to say, to me it seems like clean paint is clean paint, but manufacturers want to sell as much product as they can so if they tell you not to but theirs maybe there is something to it??? I can't really see the picture very good. Is it possible it's excess product dried on top? Or some water ran down from somewhere on the car and got wiped into the coating?

I'm leaning toward partially dried product being wiped on top of dried product. How was the lighting where you installed the coating? Is it possible the lighting wasn't ideal and maybe there was actually either excess product was left on when you applied it, or like I said partially dried product got wiped on dried product and you didn't notice because of lighting?

i had my led lights on both side of the van, i can only tell the product went on cloudy looked hazy on the van and created a chaulky substance and my very first disappointment with an autogeek product, alot of money for poor performance, bad look and a super disappointed user/customer

Hate to say it but think this is user error. With all the great reviews so far I think you should try again using the prep spray as stated and not IPA. Then if it doesn't work then so be it.

I wish the market info would use MUST use blackfire prep or you will experience failure
