Out on this morning's walk, rain.

I do as well, and I really don't mind paying the high prices, especially if it helps cover the treatment for pets whose owners find themselves in difficult financial situations. Companion animals are important to our physical and mental wellbeing.

It's a funny thing, but here in Australia, treating people for some diseases and conditions, is less expensive than treating similar diseases and conditions in our pets. Because I have type 2 diabetes, which is completely under control, I get free blood tests, free doctors consultations, and cheap prescriptions, and I'm working full-time, and that doesn't come into it.

I don't have children or a partner, my dog is my best friend and I trust him more than most people. And while he has caused me so much anxiety, I love him with all my heart.

I have an aunt in the pharmacy industry, she has told me a few times that often the meds we give our pets are same as humans............just grossly inflated when dispensed by a Vet. The daily meds and special diet he is on costs at least $250 a month, to be honest I stopped looking after a while. The price is the price, as I said, I do anything for him.

I have been a Type 1 Diabetic for nearly 30 years, while a lot is subsidized, a lot still isn't. I have recently started wearing a continuous-glucose-monitor/sensor. Because I am not under 21 or considered a senior (I'm 35), I don't qualify for them on the PBS. These things cost $95 each and only last two weeks. I guess someone has to pay and I'm lucky to be able to afford them.

My wife has worked in the veterinary industry for over 20 years, and I can confirm this as the truth. Only here in the US, it can be the opposite. (Vet meds are cheaper than the same ones used for humans).

Have to pay for those 700 pharmaceutical ads per hour somehow........

Looking all inocent after attempting to grab a bread roll of the diner table..............

My baby boy recently turned 9, he is starting to show his age now. Although he can still do zoomies around the backyard.

Been there with my little buddy, I hated putting him in there as much he hated being in there.

Being a federal election in Australia this year, there is no shortage of political junk mail at the moment. At least I have a living, breathing document shredder in the household.........

And doesn't he look pleased with himself.

More rain overnight, and the ground is very wet, so she decides to catch the morning sun on the retaining wall. Nevermind that there are two dog houses and two beds and an old sofa she could use, forget the sofa, Buster has claimed that.

Don't worry about Ziva though, she shared the sofa in the garage with me this afternoon, while Buster just sat and stared at me.
