How quickly does AG ship orders out?

FYI, that's not my AG order. That was a bottle I ordered from somebody else 2 business days after I ordered from AG. It was ordered Tuesday night and was delivered on Friday. I placed my order with AG on Sunday morning...It's late on Monday night and I'm still waiting on it.

My AG order was a significantly larger order. It is being delivered in two separate boxes.

Wait a minute. Please tell me your not comparing arrival times between two packages/companies.

One picture shows ONE product while another picture shows "A significantly larger" order.

Lets be fair here.

Delivery to Australia via AG International Shipping (quick but expensive):

Shipped 9th June
Delivered 15th June

Delivery to Australia via Freight Forwarder (slow but less expensive):

Shipped 1st July
Delivered to Freight Forwarder 8th July (AG's job done)

Freight Forwarder expected Delivery Date between 20th and 23rd July!

AG shipping is definitely nothing I would fault. Just to put in perspective though, order direct was via express international and cost quite a lot (about a 3rd of the total order). Shipping via freight forwarder was sent via Ground Shipping via UPS to Oregon. That takes about 4-5 days alone. The biggest delay is with the freight forwarder, not AG IMO.

PS: Customer Service at AG is second to none

There is no cheap international shipping from any site.
i was lucky to have after sale service from AG.
For my case the shipping cost 40% more than the stuff I order but I do enjoy the services and I can't get those product from local :D
Win win situation!

Hmmm I wonder what is more important? Maybe getting your stuff one or two days sooner or a vendor that has great product knowledge, always some of the best customer service around and willing to stand behind what they sell.

Although I will admit some of the shipping costs have seemed high. It seems like they give plenty of chances to get around the shipping costs with all their sales.

I don't understand what the big deal is. If you want faster shipping, pay for it.

Well, there's a difference between paying for faster shipping and paying for stuff not to ship a couple of days from now. Just saying.

Albeit I have not read all the pages, cant you have both a great company and reasonable shipping fees. I order a ton of stuff online. AG is by far the most expensive and slowest to get you stuff. Worse than any other company I have ordered from unless it is on ebay from Hong Kong. Sometimes that will actually get here quicker.

Yes very often you get free shipping with $150 plus order. Every company is doing that ALL the time now practically. Some at $100. Problem is when you want just a bottle or two the shipping costs and time to receive the products are the worst in the industry, period.

Again, half of the problem is that AG did not actually get my order out the door until the end of the day Tuesday on an order that was placed Sunday morning. Great customer service, product knowledge, blah blah blah aside...the fact that I could have left my house on Monday morning, driven to their warehouse in 3 days to pick it up, spent 3 days vacationing in Disney World and taken 3 days to drive back by the time it arrived is a bit ridiculous. No?

AG is not the end-all place to buy these products. In fact, aside from their private label products, nearly every online detailing supplier sells the same products at relatively the same prices. Case in point: I ordered a PC 7424xp, a bunch of LC pads, M105, M205 and M21 along with a bunch of other supplies for my first polishing job a few months ago. All of it was ordered on a Monday afternoon through various eBay sellers all across the country, 5 different sellers in total. Got my first package delivered on Wednesday and by Friday afternoon all of it had arrived to my house. Again, 5 different vendors ranging from California to New York all managed to get orders to my door in basically half the time it took AG.

Some people said, "You can always put in the comments to get it out ASAP or call them and have them put it on top of the pile." Well that's nice. I'm glad my order probably ended up taking extra time because AG kept burying my order underneath a bunch of other peoples' orders that were placed after mine. Glad they provided those people with this so called "excellent customer service" while they put my order on the back burner.

Pay extra to have something shipped to me quicker? Lol. I ordered that bottle of Meg's Quik Interior Detailer to prove a point. If an eBay vendor can get that to my door in 3 business days for a grand total of $5 including shipping, I should think AG could get an order to me in far less time than it ended up taking. Like I said before, AG is not the end-all place to get detailing supplies from. Now I know that in the future when I'm shopping for detailing products, if I find something I want that is similarly priced to AG, I should just go with another vendor that won't take 7 business days to get something to my door.

With a couple of exceptions, all of my orders the last few years arrived 2~3 days after I put the order in. Which means order on Monday (early) and it's here on Wednesday. But it's the $150 moving target for shipping that has stopped my ordering all but bigger orders. (Where I'd used to get a couple orders a month, I've gotten ONE all year!)

Which brings me to this.... I wonder what all Amazon will have on sale come the 15th?

Been advertising "Prime Day" for a couple weeks now. It's said to BLOW AWAY "Black Friday" with some specials as often as every 10 minutes!

And BTW... the DO sell detailing supplies. (Even from Autogeek!) ;)

Better yet... I get free shipping no matter what I order! :D

Which lately has been a new 8-port & 5-port Netgear smart switch, along with a new Netgear AC router. Now THIS has been fun! Im the MAN

I'm glad I'm not the only one around here who's not drinking the AG Kool-Aid. BTW, if you look around at customer reviews of Auto Geek you'll see that there are many complaints about the shipping time.

Here's the thing about customer service in the online retail industry where everybody sells the same thing: I'm looking to order a Metro Vac Air Force Blaster Side Kick. AG's price shipped to my door is $108.94 and will probably arrive next Tuesday. From a "Top Rated Plus" eBay vendor, it's $76.95 and guaranteed delivered by or before this Friday. In my experience, most eBay vendors, especially their top rated sellers, actually get it to you a day or two before that deadline. What on Earth would make me order that from AG? Even if AG price matched that eBay vendor, why would I wait 4 extra days to get it from them? Like I said, tons of places to get products from these days...

I can agree with the others about the frustration on shipping times.I'm located in Oklahoma and my orders take a week to arrive from Florida. Because of this I now use a different site thats located in Pittsburgh and my packages arrive in 3 days.

I don't mind the shipping times so much, but the rates are ridiculous. You basically get standard shipping speed but pay for next day air. lol

More and more companies are adopting LOW flat rate shipping fees and I hope that AG will soon follow.

I feel ya, order two days ago, still hasn't shipped. have ordered numerous times from AG but starting to think I might have to start looking around for a better option with quicker shipping that isn't as costly. I order a fair amount of stuff from Jegs, for example I ordered a z/28 Cold air intake in the spring at 7 pm and the next day at 9:53 am it is delivered to my house, that is smoking fast. the warehouse is around a state and a half from my house. and the shipping was free with a oversized box. don't expect every company to be that good but if the were half as good it would be totally acceptable in my book!

In general (not just AG), we are getting accustom to online vendors shipping orders out the same day. When I am shopping around for any product, an online store that ships out the same day always has an advantage over one that takes 1-2 days to actually ship. I have often paid extra for "priority processing" with some vendors so it ships the same day. This is cheaper and faster then usually paying for accelerate shipping.

In regards to cost:
I understand where your coming from when it comes to ordering 1 or 2 things, especially when wanting to try something new. Paying $8 to ship 16oz is very expensive here. But, this can be remedied with experience of when to order things either in bulk or on sale.

As to shipping speed:
If it's a product you're familiar with, it's more your fault your out and couldn't roll into a larger order to get free shipping. I don't wait till last minute to order supplies either. So it doesn't matter to me when they get here because I know how to manage my product usage.

So wanting things the next day after you order them is your fault or your own special neediness.

Customer service is something you should value. No drinking the kool aid when it's a fact on how good AG is versus most others out there. eBay has piss poor customer service overall compared to AG. Just wait till you want something added or removed from your order and see how quick the ebayers fix it compared to AG. The customer service is worth the slower shipping.

Oh, and how many eBay sellers offer have free product giveaways? AG takes care of its customers and forum members.

Maybe I am on my own island. But I don't really price shop, if something is on special that is great. I usually stick to a vender to offers the majority of the products I like and shop with them. Sometimes I can find a price cheaper somewhere else, but I think loyalty to a company that provides me support and assistance when needed is more important than a few $$ saved.

I agree with this. I very much am a creature of habit and like to go to the same place to buy that type of item. Problem with AG is the outrageous shipping costs.

Nowadays when I order things from about ten other places religiously they first will ship out same day or the next, not several days to sometimes 5. Again not a big deal if I plan correctly. Secondly they do not have a solution for a small order while EVERYONE else does. I tried to order two bottles. One $10 and the other $11. The shipping was going to be $12. That is just absurd. Fundamentally I am not paying 50% of my total order cost in shipping or the cost of a whole other bottle of something. Other companies have figured out how to get better rates on packing supplies, shipping fee's etc. I bet that the $12 is not there cost on the shipping fee's and packing supplies. It is a profit center for them. The funny thing to me is Autopia is worse and they are the same company. I ordered once from them and never again. Took 3 weeks to get my order to California, no joke. Before people try to poke holes in that, when I ordered all the items were in stock so that wasn't the issue.

So for now when I have a bulk order and can plan ahead I intend on ordering through AG as for all reasons above they have everything and CS is great. For smaller orders where they want to gouge me on shipping, I will go elsewhere.

Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. Used to be 100% PBMG. Then after...I'll just say an incident, not out to slam anyone...I switched. One vendor gave me a bottle of coating free when one I was asking them about wasn't available. I ordered two bottles of EXO, the freight from AG would have been 21.95 I believe. The freight I paid was 2.83 regular price on their shipping.
