Best affordable wax

Well after reading through all the recommendations I'll for sure be checking out collinite! Since for some reason I'm kinda stuck on the dodo juice stuff because I like their product line has anyone tried the basics of bling wax? If so how does it stand up to the collinite stuff? Thanks guys! My trucks color is... Well idk yet I'm repainting soon haven't decided on a color yet but this stuff will be going on a new paint job if that matters.

Ease of use, performance and price goes to DURAGLOSS. Whether it's #105, 501 or 111, you just can't go wrong! Now Collinite #845 is great and inexpensive as well, #476 is under $20 IIRC so either of these can also be considered. Lastly it wouldn't be right if I didn't say KSG, I mean it is in my screen name, LOL.

One of these choices will make you happy and yes, I have all of these products in my collection and have experience with all of them.

Okay so can I use these waxes like collinite over a sealant? I was looking at black fire crystal seal to use under a wax. Or would that be pointless?

FK1000p...under $20, ridiculous longevity, better than any of the collinites imo.

Poorboys Natty blue.

It a boutique wax in a simple container. Longevity of 7 Weeks in hot, dry ,dusty Indian conditions. In more forgivable environs it will last you more.

Let's refrain from starting another this is better than that thread.

Just suggest a product and leave it at that.

I'd also recommend Klasse Sealant Glaze or Collinite 845.

Between the two, my vote would fall to 845. Inexpensive, easy to use, looks great, and very durable. All anyone could ask for.

I've used FK1000p as a topper before winter arrives for at least 5 years now. Looks great and lasts for months on top of my Opti Seal silver Infiniti.
Can't comment on Collinite since I've never used it.

Hopefully you already know this, but just in case... new paint needs to cure before you apply any kind of sealant or wax. Check with the paint manufacturer to find out how long you should wait.

As to your original question, I really do like Collonite but I haven't used the others mentioned so I can't say it's "best". But it's easy to use and it takes the black rubber marks right off of my silver track car so I'm a fan.

Good luck.

Poorboy's is a serious contender for best looking budget paste wax. In some ways I like it better then 845 but can't honestly say its better then 915.

Yeah I figured there was some cure time or something. But that's pretty cool it'll take rubber marks I might need that after I get my new injectors..

:iagree: I think Poorboy's Red is better than all the Collinites with the exception of longevity. IMO

Duragloss 101 is a sleeper. I've been getting a lot of compliments on it. I did my Dad's car with it, and he's gotten me three jobs in the last week for people REQUESTING this product! I also did my mom's car with it about three weeks age, and it still looks fantastic!

I started a job for my gf's friend last sunday, went back to complete it yesterday, and the NXT didn't seem to have the same resiliency as the DG. Because 101 has cleaners in it, I went over it again with 101, and she's in love with her car again....

111 is my "baby", special occasion sealant, but for what I've been doing lately 101 has been a great ally.

Collinite 845 for a wax. Menzerna Power Lock for a sealant.
