Meguiar's D114 Rinsefree Express Wash Is Discontinued

I never got the hang of using it on my paint. I always fought spots with it. It is great for many other uses for me though. it is a solid product, total bummer.

Incredible bummer. I use D114 for everything, QD, Interior wipes, and mostly clay-lube.
I can understand if it's not selling, but that's a marketing issue, not a product problem.
The product is 100% solid.

You are 100% right, Paul. But these big companies (Yes, even Meg's) just go by pure numbers. Offer a product, it sells, good.

Offer this one, doesn't sell enough, gone. Pure profit margin. Sucks, but it's the way of this country now.

I think the big problem is that they only sell it by the gallon, and everyone who buys one, has it last years. I got into detailing only a year ago, and Im not even half way through my D114. I use it for everything too, clay lube, interior wipe, door jams, rinseless, waterless, drying aide, and even around the house as a weak APC. Its a damn shame theyre getting rid of it, cause I would have definitly bought another gallon down the road when I eventually ran out.

Yeah, but that's the way it is with all the Detailer line products, except for D300, 301, and 302

But none of them come close to the same dilution ratio as D114. Ive used 3 gallons of D156, in the same time it took me to use half my D114. When I realize that I can make 128 gallons of waterless wash, it blows my mind lol.

I think you just answered our question there................ ;)

OK, whatever. and a lot of not nice words. I'll finish up the gallon and move on.

ONR here I come. With my car being coated with Gloss Coat, it's meant to be.

Thanks for posting. Hope Meguiar's decides not to discontinue D114 in the end. Just in case I just ordered a gallon of D114. Oh and why not try Meguiar's glass cleaner too, gotta buy the gallon. Running low of Super Degreaser and D156. I am down to my last bottle of quik interior detailer as well. Bought that gallon as well. Had to get over $150, so I ordered some Essence to try.

So, I guess I rewarded Meguiar's decision to discontinue D114 by buying 5 gallons of their product:)

Got the 15 percent discount and free shipping as well.

Michael Stoops, I hope:) I just took Guz's word as gospel.

I'm not disputing some random guy's word on an anonymous internet forum that the product is being discontinued. I saw the post by a random Meguiar's employee on their forum that it was.

I'm asking for the source (i.e. somewhat verifiable evidence) that the ALL-KNOWING-GREAT-MICHAEL-STOOPS has specifically said the product is being discontinued specifically due to lack of specific sales.

(And I'm not calling anybody a liar or such - It's a theory I am working on and have been tracking. Watching concentrated products being reformulated to RTU or increased ratios to advance sales.)

Source please?

I think this dude hit the nail on the head.^

Man it sucks to see D114 go. Like alot of people, I use it for so many things.

Let's see...random guy posts a possibly legit screenshot from a coincidentally closed group.

Yeah, that meets my criteria for "somewhat verifiable evidence".

:)

I asked Michael Stoops if Meguiars is planning on introducing a new improved Rinseless Wash product in the future and he said there are no plans for a new product. He also confirmed in a previous post that D114 is discontinued

Verify it yourself. Wait a couple months, then try to order a gallon. If you can get it, then you can lord that over all the rest of us who choose to believe the product specialist from Meguiars.
I'm going to get a gallon tomorrow. I love that stuff.
