Best waterless wash

I've only used Blackfire Waterless and really like the cleaning power, smell and slickness. I do have BF WDAFPP and BF CS as LSP so compliments them well. I've used Wolfgang Uber as a rinseless and is awesome - I have yet to try it as a waterless but will be soon. I purchased a gallon of Uber so will be go to for waterless and rinseless.

A very nice product. Works well as a rinseless @ 1oz to 3gal (same with Uber & UWW+) also. I'm actually going to do a rinseless on the gf's Outback tomorrow. That's the beauty of these products; they're just about equal in every way, yet different enough to keep things interesting.

PB spray and wipe if you want to "add" nothing. It just cleans, leaves no glossers etc behind.

Oh, brilliant stuff!

Told the brother he could help himself to anything, that "I'll get more."

Well, he grabbed the whole gallon of Spray and Wipe on the last visit without saying. I was doing circles around the flat with an empty sprayer, scratching my head & wondering where the supply went...

D114 cleans exceptionally well at 1:128, but grabby.

UWW+ & D115 are on par.

Pinn Liquid Crystal edges out the two above, but requires a little more buffing.

Uber is very slick & very glossy, but doesn't offer protection like UWW+ and others. And to be honest, doesn't clean as strong. Not weak, but UWW+ beats it for sure.

I have both Megs D114 & D115. I agree with D114 being grabby as a waterless, and D115 is great but I wish it didn't leave it's own layer of wax behind.

Wolfgang Uber sounds somewhat appealing, but if it's cleaning power is underwhelming + it smells more like cough syrup then cherries, I'll pass.

All things considered, my #1 choice for waterless wash is Megs D155 Last Touch. IMO it cleans just as well as D115@6:1 but it's even slicker. They both smell good, but I prefer D155 because it doesn't leave it's own layer of protection behind. It costs a little more per oz. but for me it's worth it.

Depends on the LSP. If coated not many play well on top of the coating. Will be ordering up some of the new Car Pro product to try. Most all of them work well on traditional LSP's. I really like Ultima waterless +. So many uses and works great.

I've used ONR ,WG, D114 ,D115 and never had any issues on coated cars. They have all played nice

@eldorado your using a detail spray as a waterless and your diluting it?

I wouldn't say underwhelming per se, but some of its competitors possessed a few more degrees of cleaning power. Not by leaps and bounds, but noticeable. When you factor in price & overall performance, particularly how it finishes off, you could see why many are wowed by the product. I really enjoy using it myself, but that scent may or may not be the best I've come across.

I believe it. Cleans well, with fantastic scent. I think I've mentioned having gone through 8 gal of the stuff before I got into UWW+.

I love to presoak a panel with d114 at 1:128 and the follow that with d155 last touch (about two full sprays per panel). I use the TRC creature edgeless 99% of the time.

I'm eagerly awaiting D114's replacement PBMG is working on.

I think if one manages to catch a unicorn and slit its throat, it would bleed D114....

I know Meguiar's makes their money on retail products but when they spend more time discontinuing products from their professional line than time spent developing new ones or renovating/upgrading old ones....i start to get bitter

I've got four gallons of D114 concentrate left, but I am always on the lookout for a suitable replacement. Lately I have been practicing with regular ONR at 1:128 for pre-soaking and using whichever dilution is recommended for rinseless. I made a big bucket of rinseless solution and then I dispense it in a small two-gallon bucket so I don't have to worry about mixing all of the time. This works well for a rinseless wash that may leave behind "little."

For strict waterless washing, D114 is my absolute favorite and first choice without hesitation. However, because it is discontinued it cannot be something on which we may all rely in the future. Regular ONR may be an appropriate alternative in some situations, but nothing so far quite fills the void.

Offerings from the brands available at Auto Geek perform well in a variety of scenarios. It boils down to personal preference. Pinnacle Liquid Crystal Waterless Wash is my favorite (second to D114) because of its smell and the slickness that it imparts against the vehicle's surface.

I live in the northeast and get a lot of rocksalt on my car is a rinseless wash safe to use when you have salt on the car. sometimes you have to wait a couple of weeks for the temperature to be warm enough to drag the hose out

Depends on the coating. Im using something not sold at Autogeek. Some will leave a haze on the coating I have. D114 works great on it. Ultima+ and Blackfire both hazed everytime. Looked like layer of wax that was not completely removed all over. Really stood out in the correct natural light.

Personally, I would clean the paint as soon as possible.

Here's a vid of ONR vs road salt:

He pretreated the crap out of the panels, which is exactly what I would have done in this situation. Messy garage floor is the last thing I would worry about.

touchless coin op rinse then go home and do rinseless, would be my advice

It's perfectly fine. The key is in technique. I do most nothing but rinseless on my cars throughout the year with zero issues. Only during the really hot months due I use a hose except for cleaning wheels.

Here's an example of our van from the Jan-Feb time frame. We get lots of salt and a mix of sand even. Just pre-soak or if really bad - worse than this pic, take it to a touchless or DIY touchless and blast off the muck.

Just soak it up good with solution and then get to work. I can share my technique via PM but I know it's posted around here a few times over.

from a different point in time, but still during the cold temps of pre-spring here in Ohio.

I use a salt emulsifying spray to pre-treat the panels. Then go over with a rinseless wash.

Probably the best. It's not so much the salt you see but what you cannot see. That crap gets into everything, spot welds on rocker panels, fender lips, any body bracing etc., insides of fenders, quarters. It is a full time job just trying to keep your pride and joy from rusting away and seeing bubbling paint from the inside out. There are a few companies that make neutralizers for the salt. I am not sure about the beet juice etc. Best wishes to all that have to deal with that crap. When I spent a little time in Vermont quite a few years ago I would literally take the hose and rinse the heck out of the under carraige, wheel wells and anything else I could get to. It also created quite the ice skating rink in no time at all around and under the vehicles. Luckily it was only two winters there then back to Arizona. Everything I did must have worked as there is no sign of any rust on or under the vehicle.

At what dilution do you use UWW+ for salt covered vehicle and the higher the concentrate does it leave streak? If the vehicle has soft paint paint do you have to use a higher amount of UWW+ so it won't mar the vehicle paint? What microfiber towel are good to use when doing a waterless wash?
