Very simple. I'm very disappointed with D143 just my opinion. I thought I'd give it a try and compared to another tire cleaner that AG does not sell and some of you know about it because you asked me, D143 does not stand up. Now I cut the 143 3:1 not 2:1 but the other cleaner 4:1 and it had better results.

So if you have to use more of 1 product than another who cares if its cheaper?

I've been hearing about Zep 505 for years and need to get some. I did buy DG tire cleaner over the winter and used it up already and was very happy with the results, great sprayer too! I've been using Bleache White forever and even though it has a new owner the product still works.

I agree, if you have to dilute it less who cares about price, people here want something that works, period.

With all due respect, why the heck are you complaining about that?!
The least you can do is follow the directions before you begin whining. Lol.

That's like getting mad at your new gf because she doesn't know your ex wifes secret recipe for fried chicken!

That's like if I were to get mad at D101 for sucking at cleaning tires, when Megs never stated it was any good for cleaning tires...

Follow the directions, then maybe then start your ranting... 2:1. 2 parts water, 1 part concentrate. 1:1 if you're going in with a bad attitude. :)

I think I tried the 505 but it didn't do as well as that competitors cleaner.

El the directions say up to 2:1 though, but then consider price 2:1 is more expensive than 4:1, no?

.....And if you were so happy with that unnamed tire cleaner, why were you in the market for a different 1? Smh.
That's like a happily married man cheating. Makes no sense. Lol.

Once again, If it was more expensive than what you were using, which worked so good.... Why were you looking for something new? I don't get it...

You cut D143 more than it was supposed to be cut. Doesn't quite seem fair to rant about something when you use it in a manner not recommended. But that's just my opinion!

El what is smh?

I bought because I got THE BUG.

Shaking my head*

If it makes you feel any better, I bought Mckee's Tire & Rubber Rejuvenator because I got The Bug as well... Huge letdown.

I did a full detail on this Charger yesterday, which hadn't been washed in over 3 months. Car was filthy all around. Tires were loaded and wheels were 1 step away from severely baked.

1 liberal spraying of D143@2:1 was all it took. 1 quik scrubbing of the tires with a tire brush similar to the "Mothers tire brush" and 1 fairly light duty brushing on the wheel face & barrels. 100% fully clean.

D143 might not be the best in the world, but for being able to handle most jobs double duty [wheels & tires] It certainly doesn't suck.

Supposed to? Directions say up to 2:1, not 2:1 or you're dead.

Just go to Walmart and pick up a 2.5 gallon jug of Castrol super clean, cut it how you want I use it all the time on tires and wheel wheel wells.

I think his main point wasnt that you shouldnt have cut it 3:1, I think it was that if you try something they dont recommend and it sucked WHY do you complain? Does the un-named cleaner also clean wheels well or is it just for tires? Maybe D143 being OK for wheels and tires is where you can get a better value? I like D143 for general to slightly dirty wheels and tires personally.

Maybe he needs to try some strange every once in a while...

Tuff Shine tire cleaner is #1, but really only necessary if you are applying TS to the tires or as a final step if they are filthy. If your using conventional tire dressings - LA Totally Awesome is better than APCs detailing companies sell.

+1 on Tuff Shine. Other good options I have tried are OPC straight, and Mother's foaming wheel and tire. I don't think any of those would be as economical as 143, but if that product isn't working for you then it doesn't matter what it cost since it isn't benefitting you.
