What's acrylic have that th normal ultimate doesn't?

An acrylic component that adds gloss, some pretty good protection and is pretty slick feeling. Basically Ultima's version of a wash and wax type product.

These days I use WG Uber as a waterless and it checks all the boxes... But I have to admit, Meguiars D115 Rinse Free Wash & Wax @6:1 is clearly better in terms of lubricity and cleaning ability. D115 also does a better job at clinging to the paint instead of beading and running off no matter how much you spray onto a panel [which is great because you can really saturate a vertical panel if you want to]

They both shine very good. [Uber is quite remarkable for its gloss considering there's no "wax" in it]
Both are smooth on the final wipe [with a slight edge to D115]
D115 smells better [at least I think so]
D115 contains wax. [that may or may not be a good thing depending on your preference]
WG Uber doesn't contain any wax and therefore won't interfere with what you've already got going as far as protection. [which is 1 of the main reasons I chose it]
WG Uber is more budget friendly.
D115 dilutes to make quite a massive amount at the high concentration of 6:1 and can be stretched as far as 20:1 to make that gallon yield an unbelievable 21 gallons of waterless wash [probably more like detail spray at that ratio. I dunno I've never actually tried it @20:1]

I miss using D115

I actually have a question for you guys that use Rinseless/Waterless washes.

ONR vs Wolfgang Uber Rinseless

Of the two... which would you pick... and why?

I'm seeing that ONR is roughly 1/2 the concentration power of WUR for about 1.5x price difference.
I've never used WUR, so I'm not sure if it easier to use or gives better results than ONR?

I've used both. The main difference I noticed is Wolfgang Uber is more slick than ONR. It's one of my favorite clay lubes for that reason. Right now I'm using N-914 and although not as slick as Uber, I think I like it best so far because of it's cleaning ability and the way it wipes up so clean and easily.

I think WUR may have slightly more gloss to it. You really can't go wrong either way, but if I was only choosing one, would probably go with WUR.

I use CarPro ECO2o or ONR. ONR is better imo. I love ONR, plus it smells like snozberries.

Piggy back question, Is Ultima Acrylic new or has it been around a while. Its new to me never heard of it or seen it till about a month ago.
Its been around for a while..if I had to guess, at least 2 years.

No single answer. Is your car coated? Do you want something to add gloss, or just to clean it? Need to answer these first, I think.

Car is not coated, looking more for cleaning than added gloss. Thanks RippyD

McKee37 N914
My new fav I can't mention on here..
Between the two I can do. Multiple services

N914 for express wash, wash after compound or polish if need be
Maintenance wash

The other can replace my basic exterior...or can be used as a coating booster

I use them as rinseless..only time I use as waterless is when I do jambs or engine bay

I personally love Uber concentrate. You can mix it for rinseless, waterless, quick detailer, clay lube, it works great for everything!

Agree. Wolfgang Uber or go home.

In that case N-914. Not sure about the Chemical Guys, but the rest all leave some glossing product behind. N-914 is a pure cleaner.

Think AG got it about a month or so. Been out maybe 6 months or so.

I use Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine.

I do have a sample of D114 here, but don't have the heart to use it yet.

Gloss Shop Trifecta, Uber and Ultima Acrylic are the best.
Is this based on cleaning ability, shine, or something else? I don't see a lot of difference. Already mentioned Ultima Acylic, which is excellent but takes a little more effort to get off. For me ONR has a little less shine than the rest. Ech2O is better on coated paint, based in what I've read.

I did a quick test on the back of my SUV. Put down tape and waterless washed 4 vertical sections. I wanted to see what looked better and what attracted dust. I prewashed the entire panel with N-914. Then tape, then washed 4 sections with DG, Uber, Ultima Acrylic, and Trifecta. The tape lines attracted the least dust by far. The panel has a sealant on it - can't recall which one. There was no obvious difference in shine between the 4 on white paint.

Regardless, the conclusion I reached is that waterless/rinseless washes with gloss seem to attract some dust. I'll try to do this again with larger N-914 section for comparison. Or maybe I can do 4-5 panels with different products. Pretty easy to do. Harder to get the time and the right light to document.

Keep it for nostalgia reasons if you want and get a gallon of N-914. It does everything D114 does and more.

I'm basing it off full criteria IMO of cleaning, gloss, and lubricity, the key features for me in these products. I put them in order of my favorite obviously.

I use the G3626 Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax Anywhere for spot and panel cleaning (if i'm not doing the whole car with ONR rinseless).

I think its a great product but never see it mentioned and haven't used anything else

Been seeing alot of N914, is this product that much better than the megs and worth me picking up? My car isn't coated so the added protection layer is a plus for me.

EDIT: clarified product name

N914 or Ech2o
