Well - end of day 1
If you watched the video - you heard me say,
“The announcement of these three new cordless tools will be the BIGGEST announcement in the car detailing world at SEMA”
Now that day 1 is over - am I right? Or am I wrong?
What trumps cordless polishers from FLEX?

This appeals to me.
Whenever I see a scuff, or paint transfer on a car in a parking lot I give them my business card.
The owner always seems genuinely intrigued or interested in getting it repaired but life happens. People get busy and forget.
With one of these things in my truck when the customer asks when Can I get it done my answer will be NOW!

curious as to how long the battery lasts, and as the battery depletes how power is handled and if there is a decrease due to power diminishing does it under the polishers speed/motion.
I asked the exact same thing on the other thread, when batteries are running low how is it possible to maintain maximum performance.
Li-Ion batteries (which is probably what they used) deliver same output until they are out of power. So there's no decrease in power but it will die suddenly so you have no way of knowing when it's close.
The way I see this is if the battery lasts long enough to go through 1 or 2 pads, then it's great. You'll have a charger nearby already charging another battery and as you swap pads you swap batteries too. If the weight of the tool didn't get crazy heavy due to the battery, I think this is a winner and will set a new standard. Everyone hates cords.
I think that is why the battery is rotated 90° from normal. This gets the battery up out of the way and less chance to hit the vehicleIs there a soft rubber bumper that comes with the tool to cover the battery pack to help prevent accidental damage of the battery pack upon hitting or touching a vehicle's surface or is this as an accessory? Thanks.
Most lithium battery powered tools maintain perfomance and then just die
Where I can see this tool really shining is with finishing polishes and application of waxes/sealants.
How nice to be able to set down the corded tool after a grueling 4-6 hour compounding session and finish up without a cord for the last hour.
No they dont everyone hates when batteries die
I'm not sure I like people saying it's going to shine with finishing polishes and waxes. I'm definitely not going to be happy if I just bought a 550.00 wax spreader because that's all it has power to do. My understanding was that these machines had approximately the same amount of power as the corded versions.
I sold my XFE-7 15 mm when I got the battery version. Rotary is going to be here in a few days. I think I'll hold on to my PE-14 until I'm able to find out how much power the battery version has.
They are really nice machines, but if they aren't direct replacements for the corded versions...
